Dragon Ball Z is EASILY the most iconic anime of all time and for good reason, they have some of the most memorable characters, forms, soundtracks, fights, stories, and some of the best animation at their peak. With a franchise as big as Dragon Ball, with several games, shows, and movies, not all of them are bound to be canon though, especially with their exclusive characters. Despite this, the lack of canonicity doesn’t hurt the original character's memorability and all 10 of these villains are some of the most iconic parts of non canon Dragon Ball.

But this invites an important question, considering Dragon Ball is known for its fighting, it makes sense that the question of who’d come out on top between these 10 would arise. So let’s solve this question! Let’s answer…

WHO WOULD WIN?!

RULES, CONDITIONS, ELABORATIONS, OH MY!

Obviously a battle with this many fighters (with a lot of them having support themselves) would be complicated to figure out. So to ensure this is as fair and easy to comprehend as possible, let’s go through all the conditions that have been placed.

WHAT WILL BE USED?

First up is the question of what will be used for each of these guys. Obviously they should get their own movies and the guides for their movies, but after that it gets complicated.

It’s very important to note that these movies are not canon! They actively contradict the canon several times, having characters do stuff they aren’t supposed to do yet, or having them be alive when they should be currently dead. 

There are also several statements that these aren’t canon such as Toriyama stating that they take place in another dimension, or Koyama stating that the movies were produced when the series future events weren’t plotted out yet. Heck, the Daizenshuu even points out plot holes and states that it must take place in a parallel world. Pretty clear that these aren’t canon…

HOWEVER, while they obviously didn’t happen, there is a solid argument that they should still scale to the Anime. While the Daizenshuu did state it isn’t canon, it specifically stated it must take place in a PARALLEL world. A parallel world isn’t just a non canon world, it’s more of a “what-if” that could’ve happened. This is even supported in more recent guides where it’s stated that they are stories that could’ve been.

So even if they aren’t canon, they should still be comparable to where they were released.

BUT, this will only apply to the original Toei Anime, not the Manga. Mixing the Manga and Toei Anime is already a hot topic, but considering the movies were made to be supplementary material to the Anime and not the Manga, Manga scaling will be removed.

Finally, all the games will not be used here like Fighterz, Sparking Zero, and especially Xenoverse games. Most of the games contradict the Manga more than the Anime ever did and if further complicates this matchup. Not to mention 90% of the games generally either follow the plot of the Anime, considered alternate realities, or equalize stats. Xenoverse games and why they aren’t being included should be fairly obvious too. Don’t worry, most of the games wouldn’t add too much anyways so it’s not the biggest loss. The only time game content will be added is if they help answer a question presented in a movie or an implied technique that they never truly use is shown in the game.

That being said, this brings up another question…

DOES THE MOVIE CHARACTERS SCALE TO PREVIOUS MOVIES?

So a big question that can change the debate is how the characters will be approached in terms of scaling, most notably each other.

Now an immediate point for them scaling to each other would be since they are all “what if scenario’s”, the later movie villains should upscale the previous ones right? The problem is that at the end of the day these are just “what if scenario’s” and scaling them to each other requires a chain of “what if scaling to canon scaling to another what if.” 

Also the movies were made with the intention of the Anime in mind, not each other. These are all elseworlds of the Anime, not some connected universe. There are too many contradictions in all the movies to say that they all take place in the same timeline.

Now in fairness, some movies do reference each other, most notably Fusion Reborn which shows a bunch of cameos of movie villains, but they are cameos and not the actual real deals. Not to mention the only one to get the scaling would be Janemba with this and at that point Janemba is just everyone plus himself and that’s no fun.

For the sake of a fair and interesting debate (cause otherwise almost every later movie villain would beat the other) and to not raise several contradictions and questions on top of this, they won’t scale to each other. The movies are self-contained so if there’s a super impressive feat in a movie, only the villain of that movie would scale to it.

WHAT ABOUT THE OTHERS?

So 10 characters are already quite a lot to look into, but as with most Battle Royales, it could’ve been even bigger, so what about the other guys?

Well first off who wants Dragon Ball Evolution Piccolo? Secondly, OVA’s and specials aren’t being counted here, only movies, so goodbye Android 17 and 18, Hirichijack, Chilled, and Abo, Kado, and Aka.

Next up this is the Dragon Ball Z Movie Villain Battle Royale, not the Dragon Ball Movie Villain Battle Royale, so any villain from an Original Dragon Ball or Super movie is removed. So goodbye King Gurumes, Lucifer, General Tao, Commander Red, Super Broly, and Cell Max. Besides, we already have a Broly, and obviously the Super villains would wipe the floor with everyone and the Original Dragon Ball villains would obviously lose (whoop their ah Daredevil moment).

Also this is looking at the villains that are not canon, so Beerus and Frieza would be very out of place here and thus will be removed (same thing with Super Broly, 17, 18, Red, Tao, and Cell Max).

Finally, the one villain who could still technically be here is Bio Broly, but not only does barely anyone like that film, but there’s already a Broly in this Battle Royale and Bio Broly is just a clone of the Z Broly anyways, Bio Broly wouldn’t do that much that the regular one could anyway. Heck he’s likely even weaker so why bother putting him in here? So no Bio Broly.

As tempting as it is to make this a 20+ character Battle Royale, today already has probably way too many characters to analyze and this is meant to be looking at the non canonical Dragon Ball Z films, nothing else. So the 10 villains here today are the 10 that will be analyzed (also their support but they are a package deal).

ISN’T THERE A CANON ANSWER(S)?

At a first glance this Battle Royale might seem a bit redundant, after all isn’t there a canon answer? That is true, there are canon answers… plural… yeah it’s complicated.

Depending on what source you look at, the winner would be Janemba, Broly, or Hirudegarn. It was stated that every single Z Villain is stronger than the last, which implies that Hirudegarn is the strongest. However, a Toei website seemed to disagree, stating that Janemba was stronger than him. But even that is contradicted by the statement that Broly is the strongest villain in the movies, with one official source outright stating that he could beat SSJ4 Goku and SSJ2 Gogeta!

There are so many contradictions with each statement and it gets tough to conclude which one is the valid one, and they contain plot holes and contradictions such as Buu not being stronger than Broly or Janemba and Hirudegarn’s statements colliding with each other.

Because of the struggle to find accuracy here, these 3 will have to earn the right to own that statement. None of these statements will be used here.

SUMMARY (IMPORTANT)

• Each character will get to scale to the part of the anime they hypothetically would take place in (Ex: Turles scales to Saiyan Saga and below)

• Each character will get their movies along with their guides (and Garlic Jr. his Anime Arc) but they won’t cross scale each others movies (Ex: Broly gets his movies and Janemba can’t scale to those movies, but Broly can’t scale to Lord Slug’s either) (Also no one will scale to Garlic Jr's Anime Arc aside from him for obvious reasons)

• They will only scale to the Toei Anime, not the Manga or any other material

• These 10 characters are the roster for today (although they will be allowed support)

• Broly, Janemba, and Hirudegarn will not be given their statements of being the strongest one here, feats and scaling will be the deciding factor today

This is all the info to keep aware of for the rest of the Blog, sorry for the pace breaker but it was necessary. Let’s see which Z Lister comes out on top!

BACKGROUND

GARLIC JR.

“Finally, Piccolo and Kami are one in body and in spirit. Because now, they’re both dead!”

• Name: Garlic Junior

• Height: 3’ 0 - 4’ 0 in base, 8’ 0 - 15’ 0 as Super Garlic Jr.

• Age: Who cares, he’ll live forever

• Son and Reincarnation of Garlic

• Leader of the Demon Clan

• Likes: Demon Apples, Destruction

• Dislikes: Gohan, Kami

• Don’t confuse him for Pilaf

The title of Guardian in Dragon Ball is one of high honor and power, becoming the protector of the planet. The Guardian’s always swap out with each other, wanting a successor to take their place. When the time came, two Guardian candidates rose to take the spot: Kami and Garlic. Kami came in with good intentions, Garlic on the other hand had intentions for evil which resulted in the Guardian choosing Kami as their successor. Garlic tried to overthrow the throne with his evil Demonclan army but was ultimately defeated and sealed away. However, this would not be the end as he reincarnated into his son Garlic Jr. and had the mission to avenge himself and kill Kami.

Years later when the time was right, Garlic Jr. unleashed his plan to take over the world! He ambushed Kami’s evil counterpart Piccolo and defeated him in the hopes to kill Kami as killing Piccolo would result in his death. He then stole all the Dragonballs and then wished for immortality so that he would live forever. However, in order to get all the Dragonballs he had to kidnap the boy named Son Gohan as he was the one in possession of one of the Dragonballs. This would result in his father Son Goku coming after him and trying to thwart his plans.

Goku and his pal Krillin would end up confronting Garlic Jr. and his goons in order to save Gohan. Piccolo soon followed after, surviving Garlic Jr. ’s murder attempt, and helped Goku fight Garlic Jr. Garlic Jr, on the verge of defeat, opened up the Dead Zone which almost killed everyone! Luckily for the heroes, Gohan’s power was unleashed at his most emotionally vulnerable moment and he sent Garlic Jr. into the Dead Zone where he would never be seen again…

UNTIL HE CAME BACK! You see every 5000 years the planet known as the Makyo Star (yeah it’s not a star for some reason) comes near Earth and powers up all Demons. This included Garlic Jr. which gave him the strength to break the dimensional walls of the Dead Zone dimension and was free to roam the Earth again. This time, Garlic Jr. decides to deal with Kami personally and traps both him and Mr. Popo so they won’t interfere with his plans. Garlic Jr. uses the Black Water Mist to turn every human on the planet into his servants.

Unluckily for him, Gohan and Krillin avoided getting infected and both of them and Piccolo fought him and destroyed the Makyo Star, draining his power and he got sucked back into the Dead Zone for all of eternity. That’s the end of Garlic Jr. While he isn’t dead, his evil intention of becoming immortal backfired as now he will spend all of eternity floating in the Dead Zone, karma as some would call it. Even if he somehow manages to escape again, you can count on the Z Fighters and the future generations to be there to stop him.

DR. WHEELO

“Yes, tell us!”

• Name: Unknown First Name, Last Name Wheelo

• Height: Less than 4 inches as a brain (duh), 40 Feet in mech

• Age: 50+

• Biotechnology Scientist

• On the hunt for the Earth’s strongest body to claim as his own

• Likes: Biotechnology, Being in a body

• Dislikes: Ice, being stuck as a brain

• Has a human design in Heroes

Dragon Ball is no stranger to having some of the most brilliant minds in all of anime: Bulma, Briefs, Gero, Hedo, etc. All of these scientists specialize in specific fields of science, but this scientist specializes in the field of Biotechnology. His name was Dr. Wheelo! His goal was to rule the world using his knowledge on Biotechnology to build himself warriors strong enough to realize his goals. However, a blizzard would get in the way of his plans and freeze him in ice, killing his body.

However, 50 years later his old lab partner Dr. Kochin used the Dragon Balls to thaw his body out of the ice. While Wheelo’s body was of no use, his brain was still alive and intact… somehow. Not wanting to be stuck as a brain forever, Wheelo would search for the strongest being on the planet and wound up kidnapping the Turtle Hermit Master Roshi!

While Roshi was undoubtedly a strong fighter, the real strongest person on Earth was Son Goku! Luckily for Wheelo, he would get a shot at getting his body as Goku, Krillin, and Gohan would make their way to his lair to rescue Roshi. Wheelo would use his mech to fight Goku and friends, but after losing he did the ultimate “screw this” and decided it would be better if he blew up the planet! Thankfully, Goku managed to successfully pull off a Spirit Bomb that killed the mad doctor!

…yeah not everyone has a sequel. But still the name Dr. Wheelo will strike fear in people’s hearts!

TURLES

“Nonsense, he is a Saiyan, Saiyans never perish.”

• Name: Turles, sometimes Tullece

• Height: 5’ 9

• Age: 30+

• Low Class Saiyan Warrior

• Conqueror of Worlds

• Likes: Fruits, Genocide

• Dislikes: Good, Traitorous Saiyans

• Knows he’s bad and owns it

The Saiyans, easily the most iconic race in all of Dragon Ball! A good chunk of the most iconic characters are Saiyans such as Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Broly (funny), Trunks, and many more. While this race seems to be everywhere, they were actually brought to near extinction thanks to the tyrant known as Frieza! You see he feared the legend of the Super Saiyan, a being that was prophesied to defeat him, thus Frieza wiped out most of the Saiyans and the survivors either escaped or became soldiers for Frieza’s since the low numbers of them posed no threat to him.

Enter Turles, a low class Saiyan warrior who was one of these survivors. Even before Frieza destroyed most of the Saiyans, Turles was already conquering planets. While it isn’t canon and won’t be used for research, Xenoverse does give us some insight on Turles pre movie. He was apparently a troublemaker who often disobeyed orders, eventually leaving the Saiyans and Frieza empire to form his own crew. Eventually, he gained access to seeds for the Tree of Might, a powerful tree that drops a powerful fruit that increases the power level of the consumer drastically after it absorbs the energy of an entire planet.

For many years, Turles went planet to planet, wiping all life on civilizations just to eat the magical fruit that made him incredibly powerful, far surpassing the power of the elite Saiyan warriors. He hoped that one day he’d gain the power to overthrow Frieza and take over the Universe.

Eventually this would lead Turles to travel to Earth in order to take its energy. However, he would come face to face with the Low Class Saiyan who opposed the race, Goku! He would battle Goku and nearly win, but Goku’s Spirit Bomb technique was too powerful for Turles to overcome. He would likely be the last truly evil Saiyan to exist in the Universe as the rest of them would either remain or turn good and install that good nature into the next generation, Turles death signifying the end of the evil Saiyans… unless you count Z Broly.

LORD SLUG

“Commander!”

• Strangely said he wasn’t a Namekian in the Japanese Dub?

After the Saiyans, the Namekians probably take the Runner Up spot for the most iconic race in Dragon Ball. Initially introduced as an evil species through Demon King Piccolo, they have since been shown to be a complex alien species with many powers, generally peaceful since Demon King Piccolo was the evil half of Piccolo. But the idea of a pure good species is absurd, and this is where we talk about Lord Slug.

Now Lord Slug has two conflicting origins depending on what version and dub of the movie you watched. He either was sent away from Namek as a baby and grew up on a hostile planet called Planet Slug, or he grew up on Namek and eventually misused his power, being banished from Namek. Either origin shows that Lord Slug was a rare variant called a Super Namekian and eventually he was the last one. Despite this he became a conqueror of worlds for over 500 years, up until he reached his old age, far past his prime.

However, he would be in luck as when he reached Earth, during the Terra-Freezing process he would find out about the Dragon Balls which he used to wish for eternal youth, returning him into his prime. Luckily for the Universe, the Z Fighters faced off against Lord Slug to stop him from killing other planets and while they almost lost, the power of the False Super Saiyan and a little help from Gohan’s whistling managed to put an end to Lord Slug and the tyranny of the Super Namekians.

COOLER

“Belay that order! Frieza’s the one in charge of this quadrant, let him clean up his own mess. I’ve got planets to destroy by the end of the day, why should I allow myself to get behind schedule just to cover his own mistake? Besides, it’s a Saiyan child, he’s no threat to us!”

• Name: Cooler

• Height: 6’ 0 (10’ 0 in Final form)

• Age: 60+

• Frieza’s older brother

• Became one with the Big Gete Star

• Likes: Destroying Planets, Brutality in a fight

• Dislikes: Frieza, People disgracing his families name

• A big player in Heroes

So remember that Freezer I MEAN Frieza fellow mentioned not too long ago? Despite his intentions to wipe out the Saiyan race, he failed as there were many Saiyans who were off planet despite orders from Frieza himself and most notably, a baby Goku was sent away by the semi heroic Bardock. Frieza didn’t notice this but someone else did, Frieza’s older brother Cooler!

As a child, the leader of the brothers race King Cold always favored Frieza as he had higher potential than Cooler. This made Cooler work harder to achieve his higher power level, even achieving a 5th form that Frieza never received, igniting a sibling rivalry between the two. Cooler had no love for Frieza, only caring what he did so that he wouldn’t taint the family name, Cooler even was planning to kill Frieza at a point.

Regardless of how he felt about his brother, Cooler would let the child Goku go as it was Frieza’s job, not his. This would backfire on Frieza’s part as Goku would grow up to become a warrior strong enough to take him down, becoming the Legendary Super Saiyan that Frieza feared and destroyed Frieza (even though Frieza lived but this is an alternate universe where Frieza actually died). Cooler was shocked by the news, not believing Frieza could be killed by a lower class warrior like a Saiyan. 

Not wanting the family name to be tainted, he would travel to Earth in order to find Goku and kill him. At first he underestimated Goku but ultimately met his end when he went toe to toe with the power of the Super Saiyan legend that Frieza feared. But just like Frieza, Cooler was a lot tougher to kill as the blast that sent him into the sun scattered his parts around and eventually he fused with an advanced computer chip and a bunch of debris around, creating the Big Gete Star and becoming Meta-Cooler.

Meta-Cooler would invade New Namek in order to draw out the Z Fighters and he cloned himself into an army to take down Goku and friends. However, thanks to the help of Vegeta, Goku ultimately managed to destroy the core of the Big Gete Star and the Z Fighters destroyed the computer chip so that Cooler would never return. And with this taking place after Mecha-Frieza’s race, the DBZ Anime Continuity would never have to experience the tyranny of this alien conqueror race ever again!

ANDROID 13

“Now I can’t believe that the great Goku is catching an ass whooping from those boys! If he can’t even handle the Indians, why bring out the chief?”

(Yes that is a line he said in the English Dub)

• Name: Android 13

• Height: 6’ 5 (7’ 7 when Super)

• Age: Not even a year old

• Dr. Gero’s last attempt of killing Goku (except for Cell I guess)

• Most evil Android in the series

• Likes: Destruction, Insulting

• Dislikes: Goku, Low Price Haircuts

• Is a Redneck

Dr. Gero, one of the most brilliant minds in all of Dragonball, one who nearly destroyed all life on Earth due to his grudge against Son Goku thanks to his ultimate creation Perfect Cell! But before he created his greatest creation, he had to improve on previous designs in order to achieve the perfection you know. Several androids such as 16, 17, and 18. But next to Cell, the creation who probably got closest to ending Goku once and for all was Android 13!

After Android 17 killed Dr. Gero in cold blood, his supercomputer picked up where he left off and unleashed Android 13 onto the world as a last resort against Goku. He would also unleash Android 14 and 15 so that they would lure in the Z Fighters onto their turf in order to kill them.

While they were able to easily defeat 14 and 15 once they turned into Super Saiyans, 13 had his own transformation which was able to nearly kill everyone. However, thanks to the Z Fighters stalling 13, Goku was able to charge up a Spirit Bomb to weaken 13, after which he was able to take him down with a solid blow, ending him and shutting down Dr. Gero’s grasp on the world.

BROLY

“Kakarot!”

• Height: 7’ 10 (9’ 10)

• Age: 37

• The Legendary Super Saiyan

• A total sweetheart deep beneath… somewhere… probably…

Remember how Frieza feared the prophecy of the Legendary Super Saiyan? Well as it turns out that despite Goku’s power and thematic theming, he was not the Legendary Super Saiyan after all. Turns out that the real Legendary Super Saiyan was out there on a distant planet across a distant galaxy, and his name was Broly!

As a baby, he had a shockingly high power level of 10,000. As a result, King Vegeta feared Broly and ordered his execution which Broly’s father Paragus refused to allow to happen, so King Vegeta sent him off for execution as well. He stabbed Broly, shot Paragus with an energy wave, and left them to die.

When Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta, Broly managed to save himself and Paragus from destruction and they flew off to another planet which Paragus quickly named New Planet Vegeta. However, as Broly grew up, Paragus realized that King Vegeta’s fear of Broly may have had some validity to it as Broly couldn't really contain his own power, scarring Paragus in one of his outbursts. In response, Paragus made a mind control device to calm down Broly whenever he got too angry.

Many years later, after Frieza’s death, Paragus went out to find Prince Vegeta to have him rule the new Saiyan empire. As Paragus left for Earth, Broly went on a rampage, destroying the South Galaxy, alerting King Kai as he summoned Goku in order to tell him to stop Broly. When Paragus returned with the Z Fighters, Broly saw Goku and thought back to the night where he was stabbed by King Vegeta, with Goku crying in the background. Seeing him again triggered him and eventually he managed to power through the mind control device and transformed into the Legendary Super Saiyan!

Broly went on a rampage, killing Paragus, destroying planets, and of course beating the ever loving life out of the Z Fighters. Not even as Super Saiyans they could do a thing to Broly, he would end up destroying everything if they didn’t stop him. However, Goku managed to defeat Broly thanks to absorbing all the energy of his friends. He ripped open the old wound King Vegeta made with his knife and seemingly killed him… until it was revealed he was alive. Broly escaped to Earth and then fell into a coma out of exhaustion and was frozen.

He would remain frozen until several years later, after the death of Goku thanks to Cell, he would be woken up by the crying of Goku’s second born Goten. He would wake up with a fury and attack Goten, his friend Trunks (not the future one), and Gohan’s “very good friend” Videl. Luckily, Gohan would arrive to save the day and after a long hard fought battle, a Kamehameha from Gohan, Goten, and the spirit of Goku managed to finally kill Broly, putting his anger to rest.

BOJACK

“Compony? Good, it’s been so long since I’ve snapped someone’s neck!”

• Name: Bojack

• Height: 7’ 5

• Age: 1000+

• King of Destruction

• Leader of the Galaxy Soldiers

• Likes: Killing, Destruction

• Dislikes: People Stronger than him, Sucker Punches

• Ginger

At the end of the Cell Saga, Goku sacrificed his life in order to save everyone from Cell’s self destruction. With nowhere to think of, Goku sends him to King Kai’s planet to let Cell self-destruct there, killing Goku… and King Kai accidentally in the process. Turns out though, this action caused one more thing, it released the evil space pirate called Bojack!

Thousands of years ago, Bojack was an evil space pirate who was destroying planets left and right. He and his Galaxy Soldiers destroyed galaxies for several years, threatening the whole Universe. But his tyranny would end when the four Kais teamed up and sealed them inside a star. However, they would be released as they were in the same star that was destroyed by Cell’s self-destruction. Now being free, Bojack and his crew would travel to Earth in order to kill the warriors of Earth, knowing they are the only ones strong enough in the Universe.

Once they arrived on Earth, they hijacked the World Martial Arts Tournament going on and battled the Z Fighters. Despite their best attempts, the Z Fighters seemed to be unable to defeat Bojack. Thankfully, after some encouragement from Gohan, he dug deep and transformed into a Super Saiyan 2 and managed to kill Bojack and his gang.

JANEMBA

“Janemba! Janemba!”

• Name: Janemba

• Height: 6’ 4 in Super Form (Varies in Base but do know he’s a big boy)

• Age: Not even a day old

• Living Embodiment of Evil

• Formed from a mixture of a Ogre and Negative Energy

• Likes: Destruction, Fighting

• Dislikes: Insults, Purification

• Looks like a Fortnite Player

With all this talk about death, you’d wonder what happens to a soul after they die right? Well turns out in Dragon Ball there is an afterlife where all souls go to, entering the Check-In Station run by King Yemma to determine who goes to Heaven and who goes to Hell. In order to prevent the evil Souls from taking over, they go through a Soul Cleansing Machine to be purified so they can reincarnate to hopefully better people.

Things would take a turn for the worse as one fateful day, a young Ogre called the Saike Demon was instructed to run the Soul Cleansing Machine. Instead he was listening to some music and got distracted by it and didn’t realize the Soul Cleansing Machine was overloading. This resulted in the Machine exploding and the Saike Demon getting enveloped by the evil smog contained inside, becoming the pure evil being known as Janemba. Janemba would trap the Check-In Station in a giant crystal and start messing with the Universe, sending the worst souls in the Universe across the place, including Earth and an Afterlife Tournament Goku was partaking in.

Goku would attempt to take down Janemba, initially being excited for a fight with him only to realize the danger Janemba posed to the Universe, and he managed to defeat his Base Form. But once Janemba turned into his Super Form, not even SSJ3 was enough. Suddenly, Vegeta would save Goku, previously dying before this event happened and being sent to hell, as Janemba’s chaos was affecting Hell too. Goku and Vegeta would reluctantly fuse into the being known as Gogeta and used the Stardust Breaker to purify Janemba’s soul, freeing the Saike Demon and destroying all of the evil smog, showing that no matter what good would always prevail.

HIRUDEGARN

Thousands of years ago, the monstrous Phantom Majin known as Hirudegarn went on a rampage on Planet Konats after being freed from a statue by several sorcerers. His strength was so mighty that the residents of the planet couldn’t defeat him, he was as strong as a god! Luckily, the duo of Tapion and Minotia were able to subdue him and managed to slice him in half. However, this failed to kill him so they sealed the two halves into each other and then sealed themselves in Music Boxes to stop any further destruction potentially happening.

They would remain in the Music Boxes until the evil alien Hoi vowed to use Hirudegarn to destroy the Universe. Hoi managed to open the Music Box holding Minotia and killed him. However, he couldn’t open the Music Box containing Tapion, so he manipulated the Z Fighters to help him open it with the Dragon Balls. When Tapion was released, he was angered knowing that Hirudegarn was fully released now and would cause destruction as long as he would remain asleep.

Despite the rocky start, Tapion would befriend the young Trunks, creating a bond. Trunks would have his mother Bulma help to create a room where he could sleep, but it would not be enough as Hirudegarn was overwhelming him even when he was wide awake. The Z Fighters would face off against Hirudegarn and struggle, Tapion even begging Trunks to kill him to save people. Luckily, Goku managed to use the awesome power of SSJ3 to kill Hirudegarn, freeing Tapion of his curse. Bulma would give Tapion her time machine and he would go back 1000 years to live peacefully with his friends and family, giving Trunks his sword as a parting gift.

Now we part ways with Goku & Friends. While the journey was a long one, it was one heck of a ride. After all the episodes of the anime and looking at all of these movies, there’s one thing that every future villain should know. As long as the Z Fighters are around, the Universe is good as safe!

ABILITIES

GARLIC JR.

KI MANIPULATION

Like most relevant characters in Dragon Ball, Garlic Jr. is able to manipulate the natural life energy called Ki. Ki can create energy blasts and do a variety of things that each character can do, some more unique than others.

IMMORTALITY

You know how Vegeta and Frieza were going to wish for immortality once upon a time? Well unlike those frauds, Garlic Jr. actually went through with the wish and successfully became immortal. So he is technically the only villain here to be alive right now… although he probably wishes he was dead at the moment.

REGENERATION

Immortality doesn’t mean invulnerability so it’s a good thing Garlic Jr. has some solid regeneration. He’s shown to be able to regenerate from a hole in his chest. Considering he’s immortal you could argue his Regeneration to be superior to mortals with Regeneration such as Cell who requires every last cell in his body to be destroyed before death.

DEMON CLANSMEN PHYSIOLOGY

Being a Makyan gives Garlic Jr. abilities that come naturally to the various Demons Clansmen in the Dragon Ball series. Demons have shown the ability to prevent souls from reaching the afterlife, putting them in purgatory when they die. This makes sense since Demons have shown signs of Immortality and Regeneration negation! Another Demon Clansman named Tambourine was able to kill the Flying Nimbus despite being able to come back from being blown up into nothing but smoke and vapor! Finally, Demon Clansmen have the natural ability of Magic Materialization which allows the user to create matter out of thin air.

KI SENSE

Like most users of Ki, Garlic Jr. can sense the power level of everyone around him. He used this to sense how much power Gohan had locked behind him.

NECROMANCY

Garlic Jr. managed to call upon the evil spirits and bring them back from death.

ENERGY BALLS

Garlic Jr. is able to fire large energy balls to create big explosions. They also can follow the opponent even if they try to run away.

DEATH ILLUSION

This technique has Garlic Jr. quickly hit the opponent and then appear from the behind and slam them with his elbows

This is one of Garlic Jr.’s weirder techniques, I guess this does fit with the magical side of him. Anyways, this fires a ring of energy that paralyzes the foe and then shrinks them down and puts them in a bottle… or a jar if you want to be a concerning person.

TELEKINESIS

Look at him go! Clearly this level of telekinesis to unscrew corks will be the ability that seals the deal for the Garlic Jr. dub!

FORCEFIELD

Garlic Jr. used this to stop Krillin’s sneak attack.

FLIGHT

Pretty simple, Garlic Jr. can fly, like 90% of all Dragon Ball characters.

BELLY BLAST

Your basic red laser beam, it just comes from the belly rather than hands this time.

DEAD ZONE

Probably the most famous attack Garlic Jr. has in his list. It opens a portal to the Dead Zone, a huge dark dimension, and acts as a black hole, sucking in anything weaker inside until eventually vanishing into a small explosion.

DR. WHEELO

KI MANIPULATION

It's a little weird that Dr. Wheelo somehow can use Ki but I guess he learned how to put that in a machine I suppose.

KI SENSE

Dr. Wheelo used this to sense Goku and Gohan’s power. This is going to be a consistent thing for everyone here so expect it.

KIAI

A simple technique where the user affects the air currents nearby to create a shockwave. Dr. Wheelo used this to stop Piccolo in his tracks.

MADNESS CANNON

Dr. Wheelo’s own big signature yellow laser that he can shoot out of his metallic claws.

FLIGHT

Despite not looking like it, Dr. Wheelo can fly quite well.

GIGANTIC BOMBER

Dr. Wheelo rams his opponents with a red aura. Bro really looks like that one Buzz Lightyear gif.

PLANET GEYSER

The big ultimate attack! Dr. Wheelo surrounds himself with a yellow aura and releases a red beam.

TRANSMUTATION & MIND SWAPPING?

Dr. Wheelo was planning on turning Roshi into one of his Bio Warriors and then swap minds with him. Although this would likely have been a long process given he didn’t do this instantly and likely requires machinery that wouldn’t be applicable in a situation like this. I guess if Wheelo wins he can use the 9 corpses in his disposal for Bio Warriors…

TURLES

KI MANIPULATION

Like most relevant characters in Dragon Ball, Turles is able to manipulate the natural life ene- wasn’t Ki Manipulation already explained?

SAIYAN PHYSIOLOGY

Saiyans are easily the most iconic race in Dragon Ball, so it’s natural they have unique abilities attached to themselves. They’ve developed their bodies to the point of making themselves young and youthful for decades to be in top fighting shape, along with being able to survive in space for a short while even if not indefinitely. They also have senses in sight and smell that far exceed our own. Saiyans naturally have great Ki and Martial Arts skills which are pretty solid. Saiyans grow stronger after every fight, made even more obvious thanks to their Zenkai Boosts which heavily increases their power level (between 33% to 10x) after a near death experience. Finally, the Saiyans tail allows them to transform as you’ll see later.

FLIGHT

See, he’s floating, that counts!

MOON BLAST

Turles throws a Ki Ball that can turn a Saiyan into the Oozaru which you’ll see later.

BLOCKING CLOUD

Creates a smokescreen to prevent himself from seeing the fake Moon he created. Don’t know why he would do that here but I guess smokescreen could be a good surprise attack I suppose.

FORCE EXPLOSION

This is just a Ki Grenade Turles can just chuck.

Used this on Icarus, that heartless monster…

A big ring attack that Turles can fire at his foes.

Lord Slug has been seen regenerating severed arms and should be similar to Piccolo who could regenerate as long as his head was intact. It does cost stamina though and if worn down, Slug won’t be able to regenerate.

• ¼ teaspoon of salt

• 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon

• 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

• 1 cup of softened butter

• 2 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour

• 1 teaspoon of baking soda

• 2 tablespoons of more white sugar for the coating

1: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F or 200 degrees C and line up a baking sheet with parchment paper on top.

2: Beat the white sugar, eggs, and butter together in a large bowl with a mixer. Then combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar in a separate bowl and then stir it into the creamed butter mixture until the dough holds itself together.

3: Mix some white sugar and cinnamon together to make a coating.

4: Shape the dough into a bunch of balls, coat them in the coating, and then place them on the baking sheet.

5: Bake them in the oven for at least 7 minutes (if not good enough then put them in for how much longer you think it’ll take while checking on them every so often) and then let them cool for a bit. After this eat them!

Janemba is stated to be able to restore himself as long as evil exists (albiet timeframe is unclear) due to being an amalgamation of souls which are already dead and can’t be killed by traditional physical means. He also can’t run out of stamina as he has never shown any signs of getting weaker aside from insults and will remain fueled as long as evil exists, not to mention other spirits have shown to have no physical fatigue, only going down after their time limit runs out (which Janemba wouldn’t have here) or being killed.

REGENERATION

Just like the last immortal here, his immortality gives him regeneration, capable of recovering from being mutilated, having his entire body being cracked, and coming back from cubes alone. He should also be comparable to other souls who can survive the destruction of their entire body and Janemba would always restore himself as long as evil exists.

REALITY WARPING

Janemba’s unique power is being able to warp reality, changing the universe how he wants. He can also do a bunch of other unique abilities such as…

He sealed King Yemma and the Check-In station he was in a giant gem. These gems also can absorb attacks.

They can rip weapons out of their own body such as swords and they can have their own super form where they grow in size and muscle density.

SPICE BOYS

These guys are the second set of henchmen after the first ones died. They don’t show off too many unique abilities except for the unique Energy Webs which constrict opponents.

EVIL SPIRITS

I mean he raised these guys, of course they could help. Granted they don’t have much besides basic weapons and the previously stated physiology, but hey numbers are numbers.

DR. WHEELO

DR. KOCHIN

Dr. Wheelo’s faithful assistant… until he killed him. Ah well. Dr. Kochin of course is an intelligent scientist as you’d expect, able to help Wheelo with his efforts. But he is more capable in a fight then you might think as his arm is actually a Machine Gun and has a device that can shoot lasers strong enough to briefly make Gohan take a step back and need to power up!

BIO-MEN

Your Siabamen knockoffs created by Wheelo and Kochin, they usually come in pairs of 4-6. They aren’t too strong as even Roshi can kick their butts but still useful for a good distraction.

BRUTAL WARRIORS

If Wheelo is Eggman, Kochin is Sage, and the Bioo-Men are the badniks, then the Brutal Warriors are like the Hard Boiled Heavies, the strongest of Wheelo’s grunts that he made both Kochin and himself! Kishime can create electric whips potent enough to hurt Goku, Ebifurya can use a freeze beam that Goku needed a Kaioken to bust out with, and Misokatsun’s body is like a balloon.

TURLES

TURLES CRUSHER CORPS

Turles has his own minions, with them able to utilize abilities such as Telekinesis, Energy Discs, and other basic Ki abilities.

LORD SLUG

SLUG-JIN COMMANDERS

Zeeun, Anglin, Wings, and Medamatcha, these are the commanders of Lord Slug’s army. They have your basic Ki and Flight of course and despite their low intelligence they do have one unique ability thanks to Medamatcha. You see, he can send mini versions of himself to suck energy out of his opponent, although a strong enough fighter can easily overpower them.

SLUG SOLDIERS

Your basic grunt soldiers that Slug has a whole army of. They aren’t too strong as even Chi Chi can take out a couple.

COOLER

COOLER FORCE

Your basic Ki using goons, although the second in command Salza does know the Energy Blade so that’s at least more unique.

CYCLOPIAN GUARDS

15 feet tall massed produced machines that cannot be reasoned with. Cooler built these machines to take over New Namek, easily overpowering all the Namekians. Their metal bodies are quite durable, hurting the Z Fighters whenever they hit them. As for attacks they have your typical laser blasts, gatling gun bullets, and can extend their arms.

META-COOLER ARMY

In case Cooler dies, he has a lot more of himself. He’s shown to mass produce a whole army of himself. While in the English Dub he states there are thousands of them, the Japanese Dub states that there are over 10 Billion of them!

ANDROID 13

ANDROID 14 & 15

Two additional Androids the computer Gero sent to aid Android 13, they’re both not too special compared to a regular Android but they could match the Base Saiyan Trio pretty well, pushing them into Super Saiyan in order to be defeated. Although, unlike 13 they do use the Android Barrier, but that’s less impressive for them and more weird for 13 since he’s only used it in non canon video games strangely.

DR. GERO… TECHNICALLY

After Dr. Gero’s death, his advanced supercomputer was activated which was built to carry out Gero’s plans in case he dies. The supercomputer convinced itself it was its creator and it aids the 3 Androids by feeding them information and analysis in the midst of a fight.

Paragus is quite the experienced Saiyan, having high intelligence to lead civilizations and is generally pretty wise. He’s the father figure to Broly, clearly Broly 100% values it and wouldn’t just kill him right?

NEW SAIYAN EMPIRE

Paragus created this empire and has commanded them so Broly probably gets them. They have been shown to be armed with whips and come in hundreds of numbers.

BOJACK

GALAXY SOLDIERS

Bojack’s not so good ol gang that he totally isn’t willing to sacrifice for the sake of his life. Each member has something unique going for them. Kogu is a swordfighter, Bujin is a telekinetic, Bido can shoot energy blasts from his fingertips and traps his foes with strings, and Zangya is the second in command.

This guy was the one who released Hirudegarn, of course he didn’t exactly care and killed him regardless. Not like he could do much anyways aside from a pitiful Ki Blast.

This buffed up form is Garlic Jr. at his strongest! His power increases by 10x and gets a huge range boost thanks to his height.

DR. WHEELO

HUMAN?

Now sure this is technically “non-canon”, but if the Xenoverse attack names can be used then we can use this design to be aware of how Wheelo probably looked. Anyway… yeah he’s a regular dinky old human, despite not liking the body he’s stuck in, the mech is way more useful then this.

BRAIN

Ok without the mech he’s either screwed or even more screwed isn’t he?

TURLES

OOZARU

So this form has a weird situation. It never appeared in the film as Turles blocked the fake Moon with a smokescreen so that he didn’t turn into this form. While he was likely being cocky as he believed that the Tree of Might Fruit on its own would be more than enough, it also could possibly hint that he can’t fully control it, helped by the fact that when he forced Gohan to look at it, he knew the form would be uncontrollable (although he seems to control it fine in Heroes so who knows).

However, since we do know that it exists given his tail and he mentions he can turn into this, it will be included for completion sake. It’s a useful form, giving a huge size, range, and power increase, even giving Turles the ability to shoot Ki Blasts out of his mouth. But it does have an exposable weak spot with his tail which when cut off or destroyed will turn him back into his base form.

LORD SLUG

GREAT NAMEKIAN

The biggest ability the Namekians have, literally. Lord Slug can grow to the size of a tall skyscraper to increase his power.

COOLER

FINAL FORM

Cooler’s final and most iconic form. He trained hard enough to surpass Frieza, impressive considering what he’s capable of.

META-COOLER

After Cooler fused with the Big Gete Star, he mass produced a bunch of clones of his body. These bodies can do anything the regular Cooler can (obviously a lot stronger too) with a couple added abilities. He can scan his enemies power levels which can be quite useful and shoot blasts out of his fingers.

But what’s most useful in this form is how difficult it is to kill him. Meta-Cooler has solid regeneration, able to regrow an arm and a new upper body instantly. He also manages to grow more durable and can adapt from the previous hit that killed him, making him harder to kill every time. Finally, he has unlimited Stamina now due to being an artificial being who does not need rest and can keep going as long as his systems are intact.

BIG GETE STAR FUSION

The Big Gete star is a fusion of Cooler’s mind, an advanced computer chip, and enough debris to be the size of a large planet or small star. This is where Cooler can mass produce his Meta-Coolers and can absorb other fighters for their energy to power himself up. He even can fight in his true form and tangle his foes in wires and even absorb weaker foes' energies to power himself and his other Meta-Coolers.

ANDROID 13

SUPER ANDROID 13

This big blue form increases Android 13’s power to be similar to 16’s apparently, also bulking himself up.

BROLY

SUPER SAIYAN

While not looking like the traditional Super Saiyan, Broly is able to achieve this form which gives him a 50x boost in power and speed.

LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN

This is Broly at his strongest and most iconic, while it messes with the canon, you can’t deny this isn’t one of the coolest looking forms of all time! Its power increase isn’t 100% clear, but considering it is stronger than SSJ2 but likely weaker than SSJ3, a 4x increase from SSJ seems fair.

BOJACK

FULL POWER

When Bojack is done playing around, he turns himself greener and his body increases its mass, muscle density, and especially power. Gohan needed SSJ2 which was a 2x increase from regular SSJ to beat him!

JANEMBA

SUPER JANEMBA

Unlike the previous bigback, this version of Janemba is more nimble, strategic, and obviously more powerful. Janemba is stronger than SSJ3 Goku who’s 400x stronger than his Base.

SAIKE DEMON

This form is so strong that it might give Oolong a little bit of trouble.

HIRUDEGARN

PERFECT FORM

How Perfect? Ok in all seriousness, after taking high damage, Hirudgarn retreats into a cocoon and hatches into a much stronger form. He’s able to contend with SSJ3 Goku which is 4x stronger than SSJ2.

SPLIT HALF

Even when split in half, Hirudegarn can still cause massive destruction, albeit with less power and sense of direction.

MENTALITY

GARLIC JR.

Garlic Jr.’s big head isn’t just for show, he’s shown to be quite intelligent. He’s shown to be quite the schemer, coming up with plans to take over the world. He knew that killing Piccolo would result in Kami’s death and used the Black Water Mist to brainwash all earthlings which would’ve worked if Gohan and Krillin didn’t unintentionally avoid it by hiding from Chi Chi.

As for combat skill he was able to match Kami and even defeat him and Kami has been fighting for over 300 years! He also managed to defeat Krillin and put up a solid fight against Goku and Piccolo. Most impressively though, he is able to control and summon the Dead Zone which takes extensive knowledge of the dimension. He’s also the only villain to achieve immortality in all of Dragon Ball so give him props for that!

DR. WHEELO

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how much of a genius Wheelo is. He is considered a master of Biotechnology by Bulma who is an Extraordinary Genius and she knew that he threatened the world with his genius alone. Both he and Kochin made all of the other support which is extremely impressive when you realize that these creatures have Ki, implying both have a great understanding of life energy. Wheelo is likely smarter than Kochin who was able to create a mind control device. Most impressively, Wheelo built a mech that is too durable for Goku to destroy without the Spirit Bomb, and he didn’t even know of his existence and only worked with the outdated statistics of Roshi being the strongest being on Earth.

Now Wheelo isn’t as great of a fighter as a thinker, but he’s still got great adaptability in the midst of a fight and beating almost all the Z Fighters does take some skill given their Martial Arts expertise.

TURLES

Doesn’t this face describe intelligence? Jokes aside, Turles is a pretty crafty dude all things considered. He knows the Saiyan physiology pretty well as he knows what point in Gohan’s body to press in order to push out his tail. He’s also caused many extinctions across planets which requires a high IQ in scheming.

Being a Saiyan, Turles is obviously a skilled fighter, he’s been fighting and destroying planets for his entire life which is pretty impressive when you realize he’s over 30. And yeah, Turles being able to defeat all the Z Fighters at once is pretty impressive. He’s quite brutal with his combos.

LORD SLUG

Despite his limited screen time appearance, Lord Slug has proven himself a gifted warrior. He’s been conquering planets for over 500 years, so he’s pretty experienced when it comes to fighting.

He’s shown to be a Martial Artist master, making quick work of all the Z Fighters. He’s also pretty creative with his abilities and has successfully conquered several planets, mastering the Terra-Freezing machine to its full potential.

COOLER

Since Cooler didn’t have the potential that Frieza had, he had to work a lot harder to surpass his brother which paid off in the end. Cooler has been shown to be able to design his Meta-Coolers very well and has shown to be a formidable conqueror, successfully conquering many planets for years. And despite his arrogance, he’s shown to have superior intelligence to Frieza who has shown to be clever and can adapt to situations very well, unlike Frieza, Cooler has shown to not underestimate his foes as much and will stop holding back if he sees they can take his blows decently well.

As for combat skill, this is where Cooler really shines. He’s shown outclassing all of the Z Fighters in raw skill, even taking on Goku and Vegeta in a 1v2 with them needing to work together perfectly to defeat him. He’s again superior to Frieza who is one of the best fighters in the universe with high military knowledge and Cooler’s style of combat is brutal and efficient. He even gained a 5th form that Frieza couldn’t and has shown advanced Ki control, able to charge up his Supernova instantly where Frieza needed a little bit to charge up.

ANDROID 13

To start out, the myth of 13 becoming dumber when he transforms into Android 13 is false. While he seems more simple minded, he’s simply in a more maddened state and has shown to be still the cunning warrior he was, still showing great combat skill that a dumb brute couldn’t pull off.

As for actual feats, 13 was smart enough to have 14 and 15 cause destruction to a city in order to draw Goku and Future Trunks to him. He’s also got the skill to fight the Z Fighters so he is obviously very skilled. Also he has the assistance of Dr. Gero who is one of the smartest characters in all of Dragon Ball, he has expert analysis skills to where he can make countermeasures in seconds and could create Androids that rivaled Gods in power.

BROLY

While Broly may be a bloodlusted monster, mistaking this for idiocy would be a deadly mistake. He’s able to read people surprisingly well, as he knew Paragus would try and run away from him, or knew that Goku suspected him as the culprit for the destruction of the South Galaxy.

But Broly’s mentality shines best in battle, as he is easily the most brutal fighter in all of Dragon Ball. Seriously, look up how this man fights, it is brutal. He’s also able to hold his own against Goku when he was initially weaker so that should tell you that he is a pretty good fighter who doesn’t purely rely on strength. He also is good at sneak attacks and knows how to cause as much pain to a person as possible, getting quite creative with his beatings.

BOJACK

Bojack, despite being a brutal space pirate, knows a thing or two. As soon as Bojack was released, he knew he had to kill everyone on Earth since they were the only ones in the universe to pose a threat to him. He successfully sabotaged a world wide tournament event, knowing the strongest fighters were there, in order to take them all out.

As for combat skill, he has been around for thousands of years so he’s picked up a thing or two about fighting. He easily takes down the Z Fighters with little effort and knows the ancient art of jumping his foe, his support actually having good teamwork.

JANEMBA

Despite having the emotional capacity of a toddler, Janemba is quite gifted in combat. He’s quite creative with his reality warping, utilizing the environment around him cleverly like chucking gems at Goku or shooting Ki Blasts across the area to hit Goku with AOE.

Janemba’s fighting style is unique, using his unpredictable abilities to catch his enemies off guard. He often turns himself into cubes to pull off sneak attacks and uses his sword to try and make his enemies run, otherwise they’d get their matter cut apart.

HIRUDEGARN

Ok so this is a little tough since Hirudegarn is technically mindless, but despite this he isn’t a bad fighter. He knows how to use his hands and tail to restrain people and try crushing them and he knows how to perform sneak attacks. 

He’s also 1000 years old which would give him excellent combat experience… but he did spend more than 999 years sealed in a box so… yeah maybe brains isn’t this guy's greatest asset.

RESISTANCES

GARLIC JR.

• Mind Manipulation: Unaffected by the Black Water Mist.

• Heat: Can survive Ki Attacks which can be quite hot.

DR. WHEELO

• Heat: Well not as a brain or human obviously, but his mech can take the heat.

• Radiation: Considering Saiyans have to absorb Blutz Waves in order to become Oozaru’s, they have to be taking in the radiation it has.

• Electricity, Ice, Sleep Inducement, & Intense Gravity: Being a Saiyan, he should scale to Goku’s resistances at the time who has dealt with all of these in the past.

• Limited Poison: Saiyans have superior immune systems to humans, and peak humans such as Krillin have gotten poisoned from Pufferfish and came out fine after a bit.

• Heat: Can survive Ki Blasts, just like everyone else here.

COOLER

• Extreme Heat: In fairness, Cooler’s heat resistance is superior to the others as he can survive being near a star.

WEAKNESSES

GARLIC JR.

Garlic Jr. obviously isn’t without flaws, he was defeated after all. While his Dead Zone technique is quite lethal, it also can be escaped from by overpowering it and/or destroying the dimensional walls of its dimension. Garlic Jr.’s power is also dependent on the Makyo Star so if it’s destroyed then he will be rendered powerless. 

But what’s probably his biggest flaw is that despite his high intelligence… he can also be quite stupid to be honest. He tried to kill Piccolo and Kami despite the fact that if they died the Dragonballs would be powerless and for a guy who’s immortal and could supposedly just outlast the Z Fighters, the fact that he opens up the Dead Zone which risks him being sent in.

DR. WHEELO

Yeah being a brain inside a giant metal object might have its downsides believe it or not. While Wheelo may not have to worry about running out of energy, the tradeoff is that he can’t exactly grow in power and has no way to heal from injuries. His brain is also where his lifeforce resides so removing or blowing up the brain would kill him.

TURLES

Obviously Turles is arrogant, but while his species does have its strengths, it does have a couple weaknesses that drag down Turles. His tail is a huge weak spot as if pulled it causes a Saiyan incredible amounts of pain. Cutting it off also doesn't allow him to turn into an Oozaru.

LORD SLUG

Those big ears of Slug aren’t the greatest for combat as they give him a huge weakness. They are quite sensitive so high frequency sounds can quite bother him, and in his Great Namekian form even something as small as a whistle can hurt his ears really badly. He’s also a big target in this form so that doesn’t help much either.

COOLER

Even though he may mock Frieza for his arrogance, Cooler still has his own which did ultimately result in his end. Also as Meta-Cooler his regeneration can get overwhelmed and too much energy can overload the Big Gete Star and its destruction would lead to the death of all the Meta-Coolers.

ANDROID 13

Despite Dr. Gero’s best efforts, Android 13 has faults to his design. He has shown to be quite rash and short-tempered which has allowed Goku and friends to get hits that they otherwise wouldn’t have. Android 13 also has a weakness to pure energy such as the Spirit Bomb, even if he was able to survive in it for a short period of time.

BROLY

Broly’s overwhelming power exists to compensate for his shortcomings. There’s no doubt that Broly likes to rush in without thinking often which leaves him open to quick and decisive blows, not always dodging which isn’t helped by his arrogance. Also Broly needs to constantly expel energy, otherwise his body will blow up. Heck, LSS takes such a physical strain that Broly can become more fragile the longer a fight goes on, His stab wound also can be reopened which can cause him extreme pain. Finally, any reminder of Goku will drive him mad.

BOJACK

As you can probably guess, Bojack is quite arrogant like everyone else here. He also gets quite desperate if he starts losing.

JANEMBA

Despite the unique threat Janemba posed, his shortcomings aren’t any less noticeable. His child-like mentality can allow him to not take things seriously until too late. But his most noticeable weakness is that he can take physical damage when insulted, so maybe slander memes would kill him…

HIRUDEGARN

Not even the final villain could escape death. Now unlike the others, Hirudegarn isn’t held back by arrogance which might lead you to believe he doesn’t have anything holding him back, but this would be untrue. Hirudegarn may not be held back by mental restrictions, but it’s only because he barely has a mentality to begin with as he’s mindless. He also becomes solid when attacking, giving his foes an excellent opportunity to strike. Finally, while Hirudegarn has excellent blunt durability, he’s shown a vulnerability to sharp objects like the Brave Sword (which hasn’t shown or been stated to be much stronger than a regular one aside from enchantment) and can be cut apart by them. Doesn't help that he loses mobility, some power, and a bit of stamina when he loses his tail.

SCALING

Alright before we begin with this, an explanation of what parts each character can scale to is necessary.

Garlic Jr: Movie takes place pre Raditz Saga and has shown to keep up with the high tiers, overwhelming them with the Dead Zone. With the Makyo Star, Garlic Jr. can put up a good fight against post Namek Piccolo and Gohan who at his peak could fight Second Form Frieza pretty well and can handle Third Form Frieza decently, Garlic Jr.’s power level even was stated to be higher than 3rd form Frieza in a spin off game, while not used it does add consistency of Garlic Jr. being able to scale to pre Final Form Frieza tiers.

Dr. Wheelo: Pretty simple, takes place almost instantly after the Saiyans arrive and before Goku travels to Namek, so Saiyan Saga. As for how far Wheelo can get, he can overpower a Kaio Ken x3 Goku and while he gets overwhelmed by a Kaio Ken x4, his armor still easily survives and needs a Spirit Bomb to take him out, both pieces of evidence would put him around Base Goku and Vegeta level at this point, not Oozaru though.

Turles: Fits around the exact same timeframe as World’s Strongest. Turles before eating the fruit was able to fight Goku evenly, and once eating the fruit, a Kaio Ken x20 was unable to beat him, only the power of a Spirit Bomb was able to take him out.

Lord Slug: Considering False Super Saiyan happened, it makes sense that this would take place during the Namek Saga and right before they fight Frieza. In terms of where he scales, he’s shown being far too much for Base Goku to handle, and Lord Slug is able to survive hits from False Super Saiyan Goku even if he couldn’t beat him. Now Slug should easily scale to all the Namek Saga characters, but scaling to Frieza is debatable. On the one hand he survived hits from False Super Saiyan pretty easily and he got stronger as the Great Namekian, so he shouldn’t be too much out of the forms league. But at the same time, False Super Saiyan could possibly be weaker than regular Super Saiyan. However, not only is this not confirmed, but False Super Saiyan was intended to be the actual form, but the Manga coming out later meant that all the creators had to work with was beta ideas, thus the black hair instead of yellow hair. Thus, Lord Slug shouldn’t be too much out of the actual Super Saiyan Goku’s power range, at least downscaling.

Cooler: Pretty simple, Cooler took place almost instantly after Frieza’s “death” and was stated as stronger and could press Super Saiyan Goku with his Supernova. Meta-Cooler forced near Android Saga level Goku and Vegeta at their strongest. Pretty simple Android Saga scaling there.

Android 13: Probably the easiest one to cover as Android 13 is directly stated to be as strong as Android 16 who could fight Imperfect Cell.

Broly: This is complicated but Broly in the first movie should be stronger than all the Z Fighters but weaker than Perfect Cell since this takes place during the 10 Days of peace. But Second Coming got two Zenkai Boosts, the first one overwhelming SSJ2 Gohan and the second one requiring the Son family (and a little help from Trunks) to defeat him. This should allow Broly to scale to the Mid tiers of the Buu Saga comfortably.

Bojack: Got overwhelmed by SSJ2 Gohan slightly after Cell Saga but was stomping everyone else so he should downscale slightly from Perfect Cell.

Janemba: Was able to fight a post Buu Saga SSJ3 Goku and completely overwhelmed him, requiring a fusion between Goku and Vegeta to beat him, meaning Janemba upscales anything in Buu Saga.

Hirudegarn: Was able to hurt SSJ3 Goku, putting him around the tier of Kid Buu at his peak thus a Top Tier of the DBZ anime.

So for simplicity…

DEAD ZONE SHENANIGANS!

The Dead Zone has been a topic in Dragon Ball powerscaling for a long time, so let’s go through the main questions that usually appear when the Dead Zone is brought up…

1: Does Garlic Jr. actually scale to the Dead Zone?

This is a question that pops up mainly with the first movie. Garlic Jr. doesn’t just create the Dead Zone, he instead created a portal to the Dead Zone that sucks people inside. So with this it is a valid question if Garlic Jr. can physically scale to the Dead Zone. Honestly, in base he probably doesn’t, he should probably still get the 450 Ronnatons feat since he did open a hole that would be worth that much, but the higher end feats would be a bit more questionable to give him.

Luckily, the Garlic Jr. Saga fixes this as it gives Garlic Jr. a massive buff! While Garlic Jr. normally couldn’t scale to it, when being powered up by the Makyo Star, Garlic Jr. grew strong enough to burst out of dimensional void. This is further emphasized as in order to be put back in, the Makyo Star so that he doesn’t burst back out of the Dead Zone.

TL;DR: Garlic Jr. would only scale to the 450 Ronnatons normally but when being powered up by the Makyo Star he can upscale the full dimensional scale of the Dead Zone.

2: Is the Dead Zone 4-Dimensional?

Probably the most divisive thing about Garlic Jr.’s scaling is the possibility of the Dead Zone being higher dimensional. According to a guidebook, the Dead Zone is a hyperspace created through Ki. Now this may sound solid evidence to give Garlic Jr. 4D scaling but there are some flaws with this.

First of all, this could be a mistranslation error. The kanji for “Hyperspace” is the same for “Subspace” which is a space that is contained away from our own space, basically a separate unrelated space. Given the context of the Dead Zone, the latter seems a bit more likely, especially since nothing else implies the Dead Zone being higher dimensional.

Second of all, this is the only time it is ever called a Hyperspace so it’s not remotely consistent. If this was a consistent statement then that would be one thing, but this is a one off statement from a random guidebook that is likely outdated.

Finally, there is just the very strong possibility that this is a Hyperbole. The person writing this probably wanted a fancy word to emphasize the unnatural nature of the Dead Zone.

TL;DR: There are too many flaws with Dead Zone being higher dimensional for it to be seriously considered.

3: Does the Dead Zone have Soul Manipulation?

Finally there is a more obscure topic about Dead Zone that might as well be brought up in case it is mentioned. In the same guide that stated Dead Zone to be a Hyperspace, it states that when the Dead Zone portal opens, it freezes peoples bodies and souls. However, just like the previous statement, this has a couple flaws that stop it from being valid.

Firstly, considering this is on the same page as the statement of the Dead Zone being a Hyperspace, its validity is already questionable. Secondly, it is also likely hyperbole and just another way of saying that Dead Zone stops people in its tracks.

But thirdly and most importantly, this is just wrong. People have moved while the Dead Zone portal is unleashed and has been overpowered, it doesn’t automatically freeze people so the idea that it freezes a person's soul is a bit silly.

TL;DR: The Dead Zone hasn’t shown Soul Manipulation and thus will not be getting it as a result.

MIND CONTROL TECH?

Considering Wheelo and Kochin implanted a device on Piccolo’s head to mind control him, the natural question is if Wheelo could do this to others.

Now with the exception of Garlic Jr., Android 13. Broly, and Hirudegarn because of his mindlessness, the other 5 villains should be vulnerable to mind control since they lack resistance (Slug may be Namekian but since it worked on Piccolo it should work on him).

However, it’s not likely this is something Wheelo could do. This device needs to be implanted in the opponent's head, more than likely surgically, very impossible to do in the midst of a 10 man free for all. Also Wheelo has never done this in the midst of a fight.

Just like the Transmutation & Mind Swapping, it takes too long and is too situational, thus it won’t be used in this fight.

DOES TURLES GET THE ENTIRE TREE?

Considering Turles is being given the Tree of Might Fruit, is the entire Tree itself fair game too? I suppose, but it’s not too useful.

The Tree sucks all the life out of the planet, but it doesn’t really suck the life out of everyone on it, it just makes it uninhabitable so the people will just die due to a lack of resources. This is quite useful in killing people over time but quite useless in this situation. The people here don’t need to survive on this planet and can just go to another one or just don’t need the resources all together. Even if it was a threat, most people here could just leave or destroy the tree.

The reason why the tree wasn’t mentioned was because it isn’t very combat applicable and its only use is its fruit. If you want to give Turles the entire tree and not just the fruit, more power to you but it doesn’t really help him.

THE INSTANT TRANSMISSION FEAT!

Meta-Cooler managed to pull a Granolah before he even existed as he somehow outsped Instant Transmission, grabbing Goku mid travel. So how impressive would this be?

While some fans may argue that Instant Transmission moves only at light speed, this was an old dubbing mistake and in every other official source is stated as instantaneous. Heck, the japanese version of Instant Transmission is “Shunkan Ido” which straight up translates into teleportation, with other translations calling it Instantaneous Movement and Instant Teleportation. Also every time Goku uses the technique, he doesn’t move from his previous position, further proving it to be instantaneous. Finally, Cooler’s first usage of Instant Transmission proves this as such as when he uses it, he manages to strike Goku before the image of where he was faded.

A possible debunk of Cooler scaling to this in speeds is that Cooler just caught Goku in the Instant Transmission Realm like they were in a wormhole, but this would contradict the point of Instant Transmission, it’s instantaneous. The realm is just a fancy way of showing off the feat to make it clear how fast the feat Cooler performed, other translations of the realm even say it transcends time with it confirming that they were fighting in it with it being clear by their positions in the image that they are reacting to each other's attacks while moving at the speeds of Instant Transmission, further justifying the feat.

How fast would the Instantaneous Movement then? Considering that Instant Transmission is able to cover any form of distance instantly with zero time, it would reach Infinite speeds and since Cooler is able to catch Goku in the middle of it, he would require Infinite Speed in order to achieve this!

There are possible arguments for Immeasurable but they are iffy given the only evidence is reacting in a realm that transcends time, regardless, they can be used as an absolute high end if needed against another iffy high end.

THE SOUTH GALAXY SEGMENT!

Considering Broly’s first film opens with a galaxy being destroyed, it makes sense that a lot of questions open up from this feat, so let’s explain it and answer several common questions and debunk misconceptions.

1: How Big is the South Galaxy?

While it may be called a Galaxy, it is a lot bigger than our own. This Galaxy takes up ¼ of the entire universe. Firstly it’s called the South Galaxy for a reason, there are 4 Galaxies in Dragon Ball with a North, East, West, and South Galaxy. Now of course there are likely way more galaxies, but think of it as a whole bunch of galaxies inside a huge galaxy. Future Dragon Ball media could contradict this, but remember that this is looking exclusively on the original Dragon Ball Anime, not future material like Super.

2: How long did this take?

This is one of the most heated debates for this feat, but the answer is somewhere down the middle between most interpretations.

First of all, Broly did not destroy the South Galaxy all at once. It should be clear since we even saw it didn’t blow up in one big boom, more like a whole bunch of bombs all over the galaxy went off. However, it also didn’t take months to years, King Kai noticed this and needed to contact Goku quickly, so the urgency should imply this event happened relatively recently.

A good indicator for how long this took is Paragus’ trip to Earth and back, it was relatively quick since the film takes place during the 10 days of peace. 3 Days were already spent training, another day to get a new guardian, and at least 1-2 days of nothing but rest and relaxation (along with Goku and Chi Chi “making” Goten). Accounting for Anime Filler which is canon to the Toeiverse, 2 days were spent with Mercenary Tao. That would mean there are 2-3 days left for this movie to take place in, but considering that the movie takes place in at least 2 days since the characters go to bed at this time, it means Paragus’ trip would’ve lasted around a day at highest and half a day at lowest.

3: How impressive of a Strength feat is this?

Now destroying ¼ of the universe in anywhere from exactly to less than a day seems super impressive, however context matters and this feat isn’t as impressive for strength as you’d think.

Broly didn’t destroy huge chunks of the Galaxy, he was likely destroying it planet and star by planet and star. If he could do it in a couple of shots like that, Broly would’ve likely destroyed the Universe very quickly. He more than likely traveled to each solar system and destroyed its planets and stars individually.

Heck, the fact there are other planets and stars in the background help support this, he didn’t blow up the galaxy, rather has been destroying a majority of what’s inside over time. We even see the explosion happen star by star, indicating that it was not one shot.

4: How impressive of a Speed feat is this?

While the feat may be less impressive for strength, this is actually a super impressive speed feat! Broly traveling across the entire South Galaxy in ½ to 1 day is super impressive given the size of the South Galaxy is ¼ of the universe, and keep in mind Broly is traveling almost everywhere inside it.

Calculating the speed Broly would need to achieve this would make him anywhere between 109 Septillion - 219 Spetillion times the speed of light!

And keep in mind this is only Base Form Movie 1 Broly! Not accounting for any form increases such as the 50x Super Saiyan multiplier or the 4x boost LSS gives on top of SSJ.

DOES JANEMBA HAVE THE EVIL SPIRIT ARMY?

In Fusion Reborn, Janemba’s actions cause a bunch of evil spirits to invade Earth, including characters such as Frieza and even other characters here such as Bojack, Lord Slug, Garlic Jr.’s men, Paragus, and many more.

Sadly though, Janemba shouldn’t get their help. He didn’t intend for these guys specifically to invade Earth, he was just causing destruction around the area and freed the Evil Spirits because he was causing havoc to where they were contained. Janemba also hasn’t shown interacting with them or leading them at all so he’d honestly try to attack them.

THOSE DAMN ASTEROIDS!

One of the more controversial feats in Dragon Ball is the asteroid scaling in a filler episode. Basically, Goku was outside of his ship and he supposedly can evade asteroids on a fast ship that is currently traveling. This has led to a lot of questions, so let’s answer them…

1: Does Goku scale to these

Yes.

Ok a bit more of an explanation (especially since it was going to be mentioned as a no for a little bit before a bit of analysis) is needed isn’t it? Now it’s fair to say that for the most part Goku isn’t reacting to the meteors, he’s just ducking and hoping he doesn’t get hit. Also a lot of moving in tandem with a high speed object feats are questionable, it’s unlikely the character can actually move that fast and if someone didn’t move their body a slight cm the feat would be removed.

However, Goku does clearly dodge the first meteor while traveling on the ship. He sees it coming, cuts to a shot where the meteor passes by the ship, and then Goku ducks before the meteor hits him. Pretty clear cut.

Now some possible counterarguments do exist, like Goku not moving too much. However, he notices the meteor and moves before the meteor crosses him AFTER it crosses the ship which Goku isn’t too far from, making it a valid speed feat. Also, the meteor would’ve hit him if he didn’t duck that slight amount, so overall the feat is applicable and valid.

TL;DR: The feat is valid and would scale to Goku’s reaction speeds.

2: How fast is the ship?

Now the asteroids themselves aren’t moving, it’s the ship Goku is hanging nearby moving that fast, with Goku being pulled at those same speeds trying not to hit the asteroids.

This means that Goku’s reaction speeds are relative to the ship he is trying to get back on, but the problem is there exists two calculations for it which are wildly different. One of the calculations is 224 C while the other is 2.8 Trillion C, a pretty big gap! So which one is the more valid one?

The 224 C uses a feat that the spaceship performed, being able to travel to Jupiter in at least 58 seconds which would get this fast. Pretty clear cut and valid.

As for the 2.8 Trillion C calculation, it uses the feat of the spaceship arriving from Earth to Namek in 6 days. At first this seems just as clear cut, however the distance between Earth and Namek is up for debate. The only frame of reference known is this Universe image that implies that Earth and Namek are half of the diameter of the Universe apart.

At first this may seem fine, but it has some flaws that make its validity very questionable. Firstly, the graph could easily exaggerate the distance between Namek and Earth. Secondly, the Universe isn’t likely in the shape of a hemisphere.

But what’s probably the biggest contradiction is the size of the Universe. It’s stated in the Anime that the Universe is the same size as Heaven. This is actively contradicted by this image as Heaven isn’t even close to the Universe in size. Hell, even being generous and saying that the Earth is at the literal edge of the Universe, it wouldn’t reach Nanmek before surpassing the diameter of Heaven. All this together, it’s clear that the Trillions C calculation is flawed as it uses a model of the Universe that is contradictory.

TL;DR: The 200+ C calculation is valid while the Trillions C calculation is a lot more dubious.

KING VEGETA’S HAND WAVE

An interesting feat in Dragon Ball is the moment when in a flashback King Vegeta waves his hand which destroys 3 planets. This feat is probably one of the most casual destructive feats in all of Dragon Ball, which naturally would bring up the question of if this was real in the first place.

Now if this was real they’d scale to it without a doubt, even if you went with the cop out of the planets blowing up took time to fully set off and it was like a charging bomb or something, all the Saiyans survive the blast so it would be something the Saiyans would scale to easily.

The issue that some people have with this feat is the idea that this is fake, afterall it is a flashback and Vegeta could either just be remembering this wrong due to his arrogance or his high view on the Saiyan's power, it could even be just be a metaphoric image showing that the Saiyans are threats to Earth. There’s even the question of how the Saiyans would survive in space since they can’t for long periods and there doesn’t seem to be a nearby planet in sight.

These are fair criticisms, but the idea of them doing this isn’t too farfetched given Saiyans have broken the space rule before and this being how it actually happened is very possible.

So is it valid or not? Doesn’t really matter… yeah. If this feat was the peak of the Saiyan Saga then whether this feat being valid or not would be worth more conversation, but Vegeta blowing up Planet Arlia is at least twice as powerful as King Vegeta’s attack.

So yeah, I just wanted to address the arguments against this feat but it’s overall irrelevant so you can choose if it’s valid or not.

NAMEK’S DESTRUCTION

One of the more famous feats in the Anime of Dragon Ball is when Frieza destroys Namek which creates an explosion that is far bigger than the Manga ever made it. Obviously, a big change like this has its naysayers so lets go through the feats problems and support.

An immediate point of contention is that despite the width of Frieza’s explosion, it isn’t as impressive as it doesn’t destroy anything else and thus would be a lot weaker and the calculations being inflated. This is… actually true… not for this calculation though. Yeah, there do exist higher calculations which can get to higher yields, but they do make assumptions that aren’t true like Frieza destroying everything inside the explosion or inflated sizes.

So what makes the ExaFoe calculation fine? Simple, it covers the illumination of the blast, flashing across the galaxy which got to where it was.

Pretty simple, the higher end calculations are a bit more flawed but the ExaFoe calculation here is fine since it calculates the power needed to illuminate the distance it did, not the power of the explosion itself.

THE DRAGON BALL UNIVERSE SIZE

A very complicated topic that can shift this fight is the Dragon Ball Universe's size. There have been several cases for Dragon Ball’s Universe being infinite in size, but the arguments aren’t the most solid…

All of the arguments come from the Daizenshuu or other obscure statements, in such they state a statement that could possibly imply the Dragon Ball Universe being infinite. These arguments, while fairly vast, do each have a flaw…

• “Stretches out into Infinity”: This one was confirmed by the writer to be a poetic description of the Universe, not a literal one.

• “Infinite number of Galaxies”: Seems fine at first, but the idea of 4 Kais keeping track of infinite Galaxies is a bit absurd as this would imply that Saiyan Saga tier characters have the perception to view all of infinity which is outlandish. Also, this implies that the South, North, East, and West Galaxy are all infinite in size when they are supposedly measurable in size, countable amount of planets and stars, and have borders (while the movies themselves aren’t canon, the fact that there are measurable stars in a shot of South Galaxy supports the idea of a finite Universe). Plenty of contradictions and more questions that have to be asked there. Could very likely be a hyperbole to say how big the Universe is.

• “Endless Expansive Space”: This does not imply that the size of the Universe is infinite, it implies it’s always getting bigger, not that it has no end.

• “Innumerable”: Pretty clear hyperbole, especially since there has been shown to be a clear limit of stars as seen when looking at the whole Universe in the Anime, Movies, and Guides.

• “Infinitely Expansive Universe”: The statement itself has similar logic to “Endless Expansive Space”, just meaning that it will always keep expanding. However, there is a statement above that does state that the Universe is infinite, but it’s not clear if it’s referring to the Mortal Universe or the entirety of the Dragon Ball Universe itself, Afterlife included. Heck, the Afterlife possibly being Higher Dimensional and the image shwoing the Grand Kai's would help support the entire Universe being Infinite rather than the Mortal Universe.

• “Infinite Space”: This is probably the best evidence for the Infinite Dragon Ball Universe, but even then it can fall under a Hyperbole or be inconsistent, but does show the idea of the Universe possibly being infinite, but is unclear if it’s the Mortal Universe or the entire Universe itself.

Overall most of the evidence can fall under Hyperbole or miswording, however the statement of it having Infinite Space could possibly mean an Infinite sized Universe. The major problem is that a majority of these are either saying that the Mortal Universe is always expanding or it being unclear if the Infinite Space argument applies to the Mortal Universe or just the entire Universe.

To make it clear, this is not saying the Dragon Ball Mortal Universe couldn’t be possibly infinite, there is enough evidence that with specific interpretations the Dragon Ball Mortal Universe could be infinite in size. However, a lack of distinction between the Mortal and Full Universe and somewhat hyperbolic statements prevent it from being certain.

For the sake of safety, the Dragon Ball Mortal Universe will be treated as finite while the Full Universe/Macroasm will be infinite. Read to the near ending to see what would happen if the Mortal Universe was bought as infinite, it will be used as an iffy high end if paired up with another iffy high end though.

LET’S TALK ABOUT THE UNIVERSE’S POSSIBLE DESTRUCTION(S)

For some reason, the Dragon Ball has several statements of Universal destruction from Frieza, Cell, Broly, Janemba, and Hirudegarn. All of them are pretty similar, being in the context that if Goku and friends don’t stop them, the Universe is doomed.

All of them do have the issue of it being unclear if they can destroy it in one go, if it’s an overtime thing, or possibly being a Hyperbole. The statements won’t be taken at face value unless the scale or do something that justify the scaling.

However, if you did buy one of these statements then everyone with these statements would scale to Universal since there’s no reason to buy one of their statements while not buying another. Also aside from 2 people in this Battle Royale, everyone here would be Universal which would be quite strange.

Overall the Universal statements won’t be used unless the character proves themself to be on a Universal scale, otherwise almost everyone here is Universal which would be silly.

Now then, despite all of these guys being formidable characters, with even the weakest one here being able to probably take down probably 75% of the characters in the WWW Blog series, no matter what someone always has to get last place in these battle royales, even one as big as this.

So who’s getting the unfortunate last place spot?

10TH: DR. WHEELO

Yeah this should’ve been an outcome most people expected. Despite being one of the most unique Dragon Ball villains, that uniqueness wouldn’t save him.

Garlic Jr. vs Dr. Wheelo: Now Dr. Wheelo is undoubtedly smarter and him being unable to breathe here means the Black Water Mist will have no effect on him, heck he’s stronger than Garlic Jr. without the Makyo Star being involved. However, not only does he lack a way to actually take down Garlic Jr. thanks to his regeneration and immortality, but the Dead Zone would be able to BFR him with Dr. Wheelo having zero way of escaping.

Dr. Wheelo vs Turles: When comparing Dr. Wheelo and Turles, at first it does seem pretty close to even a Wheelo W. Turles could fight pretty on par with Base Goku but it took a Kaio Ken x4 Goku to beat Wheelo, and he didn’t even destroy his armor, and these movies take place at the same time. However, after consuming the Tree of Might Fruit, Turles is clearly superior. He was able to defeat a Kaio Ken x20 Goku which is undeniably above Wheelo’s pay grade. Now in fairness you could make the argument of Wheelo destroying the fruit before it is bitten or beating Turles before he takes a bite, but these arguments are flawed. Wheelo doesn’t have any notable speed feats so Turles could likely bite the fruit beforehand, he could even use his Blocking Cloud technique or his support to distract and stall Wheelo and take a bite from there.

Dr. Wheelo vs Lord Slug: Dr. Wheelo would be smarter, but that’s his only advantage. Lord Slug being in a similar ballpark to Frieza means that he would scale to the destruction of Namek which is way out of anything in the Saiyan Saga’s pay grade. Even giving Wheelo the pity point of size advantage won’t work since Slug’s Great Namekian form far surpasses Wheelo’s size and would allow him to crush Wheelo like an empty soda can.

Dr. Wheelo vs Cooler: Cooler is far more skilled and experienced given he’s been training for his entire life, far stronger since he upscales Frieza, faster since even at Movie 1 his scaling to the Asteroids would outpace Wheelo’s best scaling by at least 10 times, and Meta Cooler’s army size would overwhelm Wheelo’s support. Wheelo’s intelligence advantage is nice but it only does so much here.

Dr. Wheelo vs Android 13: This one is probably the most unfair comparison as it takes away Wheelo’s only advantage of his intelligence. Dr. Gero has shown greater intelligence since he’s created for more advanced creations such as 13 himself and his analysis skills are far more combat applicable and would allow him to give 13 the information of Wheelo’s weak points.

Dr. Wheelo vs Broly: Ok let’s shake things up by saying why Wheelo’s support won’t do anything. The spiked buzzsaw balls are far too slow to get the hopes up for piercing damage, Dr. Kochin is useless in a direct fight to nearly everyone, Bio-Warriors are outnumbered by the rest of the mass produced armies, and while the Brutal Warriors have some useful abilities, they are overall useless. Broly could easily power through the electric whip, stronger foes have blasted out of the ice beam, and Broly could likely just overload Misokatsun’s body and pop him like a balloon.

Dr. Wheelo vs Bojack: Another big problem Wheelo has is his huge size and obvious weak spot. He's an easy target that Bojack and the others could hit and if his brain gets hit then he’s cooked.

Dr. Wheelo vs Janemba: Yeah Janemba is way too haxed out for Wheelo to deal with, even has better freezing abilities than Ebifurya to add insult to injury.

Dr. Wheelo vs Hirudegarn: You get the point by now…

Sadly Dr. Wheelo didn’t have much going for him here, being by far the slowest and even the characters who are weaker than him could easily surpass him in strength very quickly.

“Goku! Once I’ve taken control of your body, I’ll finally discard this ugly metal shell, then will I fulfill my destiny and become the greatest scientist the world has ever known!”

9TH: TURLES

Most people here knew that Turles was cooked from the very beginning, but outside of… THAT variable which will be addressed later, there are some people that thought Turles could’ve made it higher, but it does get difficult to do so for the following reasons…

Garlic Jr. vs Turles: While Turles easily surpasses both Garlic Jr. in speed and strength initially, the Makyo Star boosts Garlic Jr.’s power immensely. Garlic Jr. jumps to the power to fight Frieza Saga Piccolo who could easily keep up with Second Form Frieza. Okay, but Turles could beat Kaio Ken x10 Goku while Frieza needed higher form to surpass that, wouldn’t that make Turles stronger? Unfortunately, that is Saiyan Saga Goku, not Frieza Saga Goku so Garlic Jr. has well surpassed Turles in that regard. Also the Black Water Mist would indeed work on Turles so he either gets one shotted or becomes a part of Garlic Jr.’s army.

Turles vs Lord Slug: Like last time, Turles is way too weak to even compete with Lord Slug here, let alone get past his Regeneration. Now Turles is the better fighter, being one of the most skilled fighters here, but Slug’s experience helps make that not as big of a difference as it could be.

Turles vs Cooler: Cooler considers the Saiyans a lower class race and overall weaker so why would Turles be stronger when he’s not even as strong as Frieza? Also while Turles is one of the most skilled fighters here, Cooler is probably the overall most skilled fighter which wouldn’t help the gap between the two.

Turles vs Android 13: The power gap obviously keeps getting worse here and Gero’s analysis would prevent any skill difference meaning anything substantial.

Turles vs Bojack: What about Turles’ support? They don’t really do much and Bojack’s support is far better and can do anything they can and more.

Turles vs Janemba: Once again, Turles is out of his league stats wise and Janemba’s hax would mean that Turles doesn’t have a realistic win condition here. Now an argument could be made that Turles could eat several fruits to increase his stats, but it’s unlikely he’d pull off this move in the midst of a fight, his opponents wouldn’t exactly let him do it again and the gap is too wide for it to do anything.

Turles vs Hirudegarn: While Hirudegarn’s physiology would be useful, Turles’ skill would allow him to figure out his gimmick very fast and mean that he has a shot right? Well despite Turles’ high skill, it ultimately is meaningless if your opponent is so much stronger and faster than you. It’s why a highly trained fighter would get stomped by an Elephant.

While Turles would be able to defeat Dr. Wheelo, the other 8 fighters here would prove to be too much for him… wait… only ⅞ of the fighters were mentioned here? Who’s le-

Oh…

Yeah there’s no question that Broly is ripping Turles apart, not only is the gap in stats so wide that Turles might as well eat a million fruits cause at least he could go out filled. But the main thing that’s screwing Turles here is the fact that he looks EXACTLY like Goku! This will make him a target for pretty much everyone in frame one, but it gets comical with Broly, like there will just be an entire subplot of Turles getting hunted down by Broly! The sad thing is that Broly will probably hold back to make Turles suffer more, a fate worse than instant disintegration or having a hole in your head which the others would at least do.

While Wheelo would still probably get last due to being the weakest, getting blitzed by everyone, and being someone Turles could beat, if you think that Turles would lose purely because of the Broly factor then fair enough, swap the two placements if that’s the funnier answer.

“It’s always a shame to lose a Saiyan, especially when they turn out as weak and kind-hearted as you and your father.”

8TH: LORD SLUG

Don’t think anyone was expecting this guy to win to be honest, regardless let’s go through why he doesn’t get any further anyways!

Garlic Jr. vs Lord Slug: Considering Lord Slug should downscale at least to Full Power Frieza while Garlic Jr. scales to Piccolo who only scales to Second Form Frieza, Lord Slug should just win right? Well this is where the rule of having them scale to their own movies while the others can’t upscale the previous movies comes into play. Garlic Jr. 's feat of shaking the Heavenly Realm gets to 270 ExaFoe which is 198.53 times greater than Lord Slug’s best scaling, well into one shot territory. Not to mention the fact that Garlic Jr. has regeneration negation which would be very effective against Lord Slug. In fairness, Slug’s greater speed would mean that the Black Water Mist and Sealed Light Beam wouldn’t be too effective, but it’s really only delaying the inevitable due to his limited stamina.

Lord Slug vs Cooler: Guy who’s not fully clear if he’s stronger or weaker than Frieza vs someone is just blatantly stronger, pretty simple logic. Not to mention Cooler has experience with other Namekians and his army and sheer AOE would overwhelm Lord Slug’s regeneration since it hasn’t shown to be THAT potent.

Lord Slug vs Android 13: Now in fairness, despite the stat gap between Android Saga and Frieza Saga characters, Lord Slug’s regeneration could possibly allow him to keep going and maybe use pure energy to wear down 13. The problem is that not only is the speed gap going to make this difficult (Trunks being able to blitz Frieza), but Slug’s regeneration does cost him stamina which would eventually go down. Not to mention Gero’s analysis could let him know the Namekian’s weaknesses early.

Lord Slug vs Broly: Now Lord Slug does have his advantages, he’s more experienced being over 500 years old and his range is good, but Broly’s AOE would counter his range hard and the sheer power gap is too much for experience to matter. The Slug Soldiers are a bigger army than the New Saiyan Empire, but they are a literal non-factor as Broly would just nuke them and the rest of Slug’s support.

Lord Slug vs Bojack: In Slug’s defense, he’s probably more experienced in combat to be honest. While Bojack is twice as old, he spent 1000 years stuck inside a star while Slug was always conquering planets so Slug has more evidence for being more experienced between the two geezers. Shame Slug is horribly outstated, scaled, and his hax won’t do much in the grand scheme other than delay the inevitable.

Lord Slug vs Janemba: A point that could be made for Slug’s favor against these guys is that Medamatcha can suck energy out of people, thus a possible win condition against other stronger characters. The problem is a stronger fighter can overpower it and blow it off so Lord Slug’s last possible win conditions has bit the dust.

Lord Slug vs Hirudegarn: Everything that was said in the Slug vs Bojack segment can apply here, both that Slug does indeed have better experience but loses in almost every other category. Suppose the Terra-Freezing device should be mentioned but it’s very easily destroyable and everyone here should be able to withstand its cold for the entire fight since it doesn’t automatically turn the Earth into an ice cube at once.

Despite his high experience and useful abilities of regeneration and the Namek Finger’s range, it wasn’t enough to let him last long enough here.

LORD SLUG

“I’m bored, it’s time for you to die!”

7TH: ANDROID 13

It does feel like 13 should get higher honestly, but the competition is quite stacked so it makes sense 13 would fall eventually…

Garlic Jr. vs Android 13: This instantly gets complicated as the best Android 13 could upscale from is the Frieza feat so the question becomes how much does he upscale, as if he’s stronger he should likely win since he’d resist the Dead Zone’s pull and could shove Garlic Jr. in, along with being immune to the Black Water Mist. So obviously upscaling Mecha Frieza would make him 10x stronger, the problem is determining how much stronger Android 16 tier characters are than Mech Frieza. At a low end they should be twice as strong and considering they should one shot him a safe high end could be a 10x difference. This would put Android 13 anywhere between 27.2 ExaFoe to 136 ExaFoe, less than Garlic Jr. 's 270 ExaFoe which means that Android 13 wouldn’t be strong enough to resist Dead Zone’s pull. 

Android 13 has no real way of taking Garlic Jr. out thanks to his Immortality aside from destroying the Makyo Star but he wouldn’t likely do this as a first move. In fairness 13 is faster and Gero’s analysis could possibly clue him in on the Makyo Star, but it’s unlikely this would happen before he gets sucked into the Dead Zone.

Cooler vs Android 13: If this was Movie 1 Cooler, then Cooler would’ve been the one discussed as the 7th place holder here, however he luckily gets a Second Movie where he’s close enough to strength to 13 to where he could chip damage him and thus his superior skill, speed, numbers, and hax would overwhelm 13, not even Gero’s analysis would have an answer for dealing with Billions of enemies at once.

Android 13 vs Broly: Broly is way stronger as he should be stronger than Cell by Second Coming and should scale to Cell at least in speed which would blitz and one shot 13. Cell is obviously more powerful than 16 and thus Broly would be stronger and faster than 13.

Android 13 vs Bojack: Bojack’s support far outclasses 13’s as they are far stronger and have much better teamwork. Obviously Bojack takes the Stat Trinity on 13 and Gero’s analysis would only do so much here.

Android 13 vs Janemba: Given 13’s personality, a possible outcome of this could happen… (slight volume warning)

But as funny as this is, there are problems with this. While this makes Janemba weaker and could hurt him, Janemba’s regeneration would mean he could easily come back from this and the gap of power between the two is so wide that it wouldn’t matter. Scaling to characters who affect Space and Time is far above anything 13 could reasonably deal with, meaning his insults wouldn’t do too much aside from slowing Janemba down.

Android 13 vs Hirudegarn: Gero’s analysis could let 13 pick up on Hirudegarn’s physiology, but knowing your opponent's abilities vs actually doing anything about it are two different things. If the stat gap was closer than maybe 13 and his support could take down Hirudegarn with this advantage, but sadly this won’t be the case here since the stat gap is far too wide.

Dr. Gero’s analysis skills would come in handy, but while the previous 3 would be screwed, the others would be able to get past this.

ANDROID 13

“Free will, pitiful humans! War, segregation, hatred, is that what you’ve done with your free will boy? Don’t you lecture me with your $30 haircut, Goku dies!”

ADVANTAGES

• Stronger and faster than Wheelo, Turles, & Slug

• Faster than Garlic Jr.

• Dr. Gero is the smartest person overall

• Dr. Gero’s analysis is quite useful for strategy

From here on out, figuring who takes each spot was actually quite tricky as placements here went back and forth, officially getting more and more debatable. However, a conclusion on who 6th would be had been reached…

6TH: GARLIC JR.

Garlic Jr. was probably the biggest wild card thanks to his abilities and immortality, he was probably the most difficult to find a placement for and even had win conditions to win the entire Battle Royale! However, he had too much holding him back…

Garlic Jr. vs Cooler: Now considering earlier it was said that Cooler in the second movie was around Android Saga tier, that would mean that Garlic Jr. would be stronger than Cooler, so couldn’t Garlic Jr. just pull the Dead Zone on Cooler? While a possibility for a win, Cooler had plenty of advantages to prevent this from being a sure fire strategy. Cooler’s numbers would quickly overwhelm Garlic Jr. and his support, but Garlic Jr. being able to use the Dead Zone would just take care of all of them right? This ignores the Big Gete Star which would stay put since the Dead Zone wouldn’t pull in the Makyo Star and allow Cooler to either wait out the Dead Zone or just keep mass producing Coolers until they shove Garlic Jr. in. Cooler is also way more skilled so he could likely sacrifice 10 of them to shove Garlic Jr. in. Not to mention the fact that Cooler outpacing Instant Transmission is a much greater speed feat than anything Garlic Jr. could scale to. Heck, Cooler could use Instant Transmission to simply escape and then destroy the Makyo Star, screwing Garlic Jr. over and sending himself back to the Dead Zone. Cooler just has too many ways to take down Garlic Jr. and avoid death by Dead Zone meanwhile Garlic Jr. only has one way of winning which isn't 100% likely to work.

Garlic Jr. vs Broly: While Dead Zone is powerful, characters around Cell tier should’ve likely surpassed its power by then. Semi-Perfect is stronger than Imperfect Cell and 16, Vegeta at his strongest was superior to Semi-Perfect, and Perfect far eclipsed Vegeta in power. Going off of the previous scale of 2-10x for these surpassment, Broly would be at least anywhere from 217.6 ExaFoe to 136 ZettaFoe, the former would be similar to Garlic Jr. and be enough to fight back against the Dead Zone and the latter would mean that the Dead Zone’s pull would barely do anything to him. This is also not mentioning the speed difference of Hundreds C vs Septillions C and the fact that Broly destroys planets for fun meaning the Makyo Star will inevitably get destroyed, leaving Garlic Jr. powerless.

Garlic Jr. vs Bojack: Similarly to Broly, the power of Cell tier characters match and surpass Garlic Jr. ‘s, not to mention the far superior support Bojack has as his team have great combat skill and are probably the overall strongest support here. Also, Bojack should scale to Base Goku in speed whose feat of traveling to Hell eclipses Garlic’s Jr. ‘s best speed scaling by nearly Quadrillions of times, meaning that Bojack could easily shove him into the Dead Zone and destroy the Makyo Star.

Garlic Jr. vs Janemba: Funny thing is that Garlic Jr. does have a big advantage and possible win condition with his Regeneration Negation, this would mean that after an insult, Janemba couldn’t heal from it which could lead to Garlic Jr. winning off of that. Unfortunately, Jannemba was way faster and could likely perform the win conditions the others have or just freeze, seal, or transmutate Garlic Jr. before he could capitalize on that, heck he could create a second Garlic Jr. to get a second Dead Zone here if you wanted to be really chaotic.

Garlic Jr. vs Hirudegarn: Hirudegarn doesn’t even fit in the Dead Zone, what is Garlic Jr. supposed to even do here?

Now all of these do have the assumption that Garlic Jr. would use the Dead Zone technique but only using the Movie and Anime Arc for Garlic Jr. there is no reason to imply he’d win with attrition via immortality rather than pulling out the Dead Zone. Shoot the plot holes and stupidity of Garlic Jr., not the messenger!

GARLIC JR.

“My plan! You meddling fools ruined everything! I'll make you pay for this for what you did to me and my father, and this time I'll finish you off for good!”

5TH: BOJACK

Depending on who you ask, someone would either be surprised that Bojack got this far or he didn’t get any further. While the former should be obvious with the evidence given, the latter will be explained now!

Cooler vs Bojack: Bojack does have some advantages over Cooler such as his much superior strength and experience, but Cooler can make up for these faults with his own advantages. While Bojack scaling to Goku traveling to Hell is impressive, Cooler was able to outpace Instant Transmission, a technique that travels any distance without any time taken which would qualify for Infinite Speeds. This would make Cooler so much faster than Bojack that Bojack would never be able to hit Cooler. Since Meta-Cooler has endless stamina, where Bojack does have a limit even if it is high, this would mean that Cooler could likely just outlast Bojack. Heck, he could probably wear him down with better skill and sheer numbers, Bojack’s support as good as they are, do not have the numbers or stamina to keep pace.

Broly vs Bojack: There is a popular debate on who’s stronger between Broly and Bojack, but frankly the answer should be clear. While Bojack was in the Cell Saga tier, he was stomped by SSJ2 Gohan meanwhile Broly was overpowering SSJ2 Gohan. While Broly’s Gohan was the one who was likely slacking off in training, he shouldn’t be SO much weaker, not to mention in Buu Saga SSJ Gohan could fight Dabura who was considered comparable to Perfect Cell, meaning Gohan was around Bojack in power at this time, and thus Broly far surpassing him, especially after the Zenkai Boost. Not to mention Broly’s feat of destroying South Galaxy gets up to 219 Septillion times the Speed of Light, and this is only base Broly from the first movie pre Zenkai Boosts. Broly should realistically be stronger and be WAY faster.

Bojack vs Janemba: Bojack’s greatest strength in this entire Battle Royale is his support, so you’d think he could use this to help him win. However, Janemba provides several counters. He could simply seal all of them away and Bojack himself, freeze them, or even turn them into versions of himself to fight Bojack for himself. He can even create a duplicate of Bojack with the Mystic Copy meaning that Bojack is going to lose his support very fast, not helped by the fact that he’s more than willing to kill them. And as for the stat gap, Buu Saga characters have surpassed Cell Saga characters… duh. The next character will go more into detail here.

Bojack vs Hirudegarn: Bojack at best shown to be as strong as SSJ Gohan given Bojack should be on a similar enough field to Perfect Cell and Dabura who could fight SSJ Gohan is considered just as strong as Cell. Hirudegarn is able to match SSJ3 Goku in combat, already a 8x difference going off of just transformations. However, it’s shown that Goku and Vegeta consider Dabura not to be a challenge and could likely defeat him. In fairness, we can’t 100% say how much stronger Pikkon was than Cell other than a basic 10x one shot difference at most, thus meaning Dabura could hypothetically be 5x stronger than Base Goku at least given Goku needed Super Saiyan to fight Pikkon, but since SSJ Goku could match Pikkon it does mean that SSJ Goku should logically one shot Dabura at his best, meaning Hirudegarn is way out of Bojack’s league of power. Along with the fact that Hirudegarn’s physiology, speed, and size would triumph any tertiary advantage Bojack has.

Bojack certainly was more than likely the second most experienced person here and overall had the best support, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the strength and/or speed gap the others had on him.

BOJACK

“How ironic that your father’s death was the key to our escape. I so wanted to thank him personally, but now you will have to do it for me!”

4TH: BROLY

This is definitely a surprising outcome, most people were expecting him to get 2nd to even 1st, but as shocking as it is, Broly just falls short when it comes to the other 3.

Cooler vs Broly: This one will take quite some explaining so here goes. Now obviously Broly is way out of Cooler’s league in terms of power, but Cooler’s speed could make up for this. Cooler being able to catch Goku mid Instant Transmission and being able to react in the realm would give him Infinite Speeds meanwhile Broly’s Infinite Speed arguments by buying the Mortal Universe being Infinite in size are dubious at best. If you do buy Infinite Speed Broly though, you’d have to do the same with Cooler’s Immeasurable Speed argument which would still have Cooler be way faster. Both are iffy but would still result in Cooler taking speed by a lot.

What about Broly’s AOE? Not only is the gap in speed so wide that it wouldn’t be able to catch Cooler unless he got intentionally hit, but Cooler’s Instant Transmission could allow him to escape by finding other Ki in the Universe to temporarily escape if it comes down to it. Broly’s average AOE is also something Cooler could easily avoid and his biggest AOE attacks are something he can Instant Transmission away from or just fly away since he is so much faster. So Broly can’t hit Cooler but Cooler can’t hurt Broly, is it a stalemate? Luckily for Cooler, his win condition of attrition would actually work here. 

Not only does Broly have to take down Billions of Coolers, but he does not have the stamina to keep going. While Broly has incredible stamina, it does have a limit unlike Meta-Cooler, meaning that Cooler could simply outlast Broly. Also Cooler’s Energy Blade could likely open up Broly’s old stab wound which could take him out even quicker. The skill gap between the two is big enough that Cooler would realize what he would need to do to win, overwhelm Broly with numbers and wear him down, meanwhile strength is really the only thing Broly has going for him. Finally, while Broly could destroy the Big Gete Star, Cooler could use Instant Transmission to get it to safety, move it with physical force since he's shown more than enough power to do so (at least with several Meta-Coolers), or distract and overwhelm Broly with the Meta-Cooler army. Cooler just has too many counters to Broly while Broly is a sitting duck who will eventually get worn down, not helped by the fact that Broly gets more fragile the fight goes on which Cooler would take advantage of. A huge speed advantage can mean A LOT in a fight like this! At worst Cooler could just let the others beat him since this is a Battle Royale and his speed would allow him to get away from Broly.

Broly vs Janemba: This one was the debate people were stuck on the most, believing it would be the “Battle Beast vs Thragg” of the fight. But shockingly the answer is pretty clear cut. Now just by looking at the two you can tell this is another Strength vs Speed debate… Although going with body types alone, Janemba taking Strength and Broly taking Speed would probably be a shock. While Broly could try to do what Cooler’s win condition was, his strategy of charging first and asking questions later would probably get him in trouble, not to mention the fact that Janemba’s endless stamina would make this pointless. Janemba also can affect reality on a Universal scale so Broly can’t really dodge any hax Janemba has meaning he’d likely get sealed or transmutated. Given Janemba is also a much better fighter and his sword could also open up a wound and Broly’s chances start to fall flat the moment he gets winded or caught by the scale Janemba’s reality warping has.

Broly vs Hirudegarn: Now at first this seems like Broly could finally pull off the outlasting trick, Hirudegarn may outstat due to more concrete higher tier scaling by being superior to SSJ3 Gotenks and being able to content with SSJ3 Goku while Broly wasn’t too far away from SSJ2 Gohan (pre potential unlock), but Septillions (Octillions with multipliers) vs at best Quintillions is a big gap. However, Broly’s biggest problem here is that it would likely be out of character for him to try and play the stamina and speed game. Broly tends to rush in head first, not really dodging, often trying to overpower his enemies, that’s how he lost in the first movie. While he has dodged, he really only dodged the Z Fighters blows out of arrogance to prove superiority. He'd be more likely to try and overpower Hirudegarn and get knocked down. 

Paragus could likely pick up on Hirudegarn’s weaknesses but to say Broly would take his advice seriously would be optimistic at best. Also Broly hasn’t shown the stamina needed to pull off this strategy on Hirudgegarn and constantly dodging and trying to blitz Hirudegarn will cost energy. Not to mention Hirudegarn’s sheer size and his own great AOE means Broly will likely get hit if his own arrogance doesn’t get him. It’s also likely Hirudegarn’s physiology could catch Broly off guard and get hit via a sneak attack.

If all Dragon Ball material was used then Broly winning would be pretty likely, but restricting them to the Movies and Toei Anime scaling and Broly surprisingly doesn’t have the firepower and especially the stamina needed to make it farther.

BROLY

3RD: HIRUDEGARN

Despite being the final villain, it didn’t mean he’d be the final one standing! Let’s go over why!

Cooler vs Hirudegarn: While this may seem very odd, it’s almost a near repeat of why Cooler would beat Broly. While Hirudegarn is way stronger, Cooler’s sheer speed, stamina, skill, and numbers gap would overwhelm Hirudegarn. Destroying 10 Billion Meta-Coolers that are SO MUCH faster than you is a daunting task. This is not helped by the fact that Hirudegarn is a big target that wouldn’t likely be missed. While Hirudegarn’s physiology would likely allow him to evade some attacks, Meta-Cooler’s analysis and strategic BIQ would allow him to predict where Hirudegarn will pop out, helped by the speed gap. Now in fairness, the gap between Cooler and Hirudegarn is so big that Cooler couldn’t hurt him, but not only could Cooler just outlast him thanks to the stamina gap, but Cooler has multiple ways of exploiting Hirudegarn’s weakness to sharp objects meaning Cooler can use his Energy Blade, other piercing Ki attacks, or any of his Supports sharp attacks, not to mention he will get weaker and lose more energy when his tail gets cut off.

Janemba vs Hirudegarn: This has been a popular debate for a while, but it’s not a stretch to say the result isn’t too hard to figure out. While Hirudegarn may be weaker since he was defeated by SSJ3 Goku with some difficulty while Janemba quickly overwhelmed him, a skill and hax advantage would mean Hirudegarn could likely put up a stronger fight… if he had that. Yeah Hirudegarn being mindless is biting him in the but here, meaning Janemba is running circles in skill. As for hax, his physiology is tough, but it has weaknesses and exploits while Janemba’s regeneration isn’t exactly something Hirudegarn can bypass, let alone his reality warping with its many ways of instant winning.

Despite how much of a powerful monster Hirudegarn was, it was ultimately clear that he wouldn’t win sadly. Ah well, 3rd place out of 10 when this is the lineup is something to be proud of regardless.

Cooler vs Janemba!

Place your final bets as let’s go through it in detail to explain who is the true champion of DBZ Movie Villains and who will be left to try and destroy or rule the Universe!

COOLER VS JANEMBA
POWER LEVEL

Starting off, who’s the stronger of the two?

Cooler should scale to Frieza Saga SSJ Goku in Cooler’s Revenge given his Supernova could press him and he could take solid hits from SSJ Goku and this is a Goku post Frieza Saga, well surpassing the 1.36 ExaFoe calculation. As for Meta-Cooler, he should be stronger than SSJ Goku during the Android Saga given it took both SSJ Goku and SSJ Vegeta to work together in unison in order to take him down. Given how Goku was superior to Mecha Frieza who could exceed his energy in the Frieza Saga by 10x which would at least get him to 13.6 ExaFoe at least, likely way higher.

However, Janemba blows any version of Cooler out of the water. Janemba was able to match SSJ3 Goku and surpass him as Super Janemba, and SSJ3 Goku is easily one of the top tiers in the DBZ Toei Anime! SSJ3 Goku is stronger than both Super Buu (Kid Buu was stronger than Super Buu in the Toei Anime despite contradictions story wise and the Manga saying otherwise) and Gotenks who can put a hole in the Room of Spirit of Time. Super Buu was even about to break down the Space Time of the Mortal Universe and SSJ3 Goku is stronger than him, but even then is still much weaker to Janemba. This would put Janemba’s power at 4-Dimensional considering that’s where Space Time resides dimensionally, which is an entire spatial dimension higher than Cooler at his strongest.

Even when restricting them to their own movies, Janemba being able to affect every dimension in the Dragon Ball Universe is far more than Cooler’s supernova, and this was done by a Base Janemba too.

No doubt about it, JANEMBA has a higher POWER LEVEL!

SPEED

As for speed, you might expect the truth to be the same as characters from the Buu Saga can blitz Android Saga tier characters, and only using the Toei Anime scaling this would be true.

Luckily for Cooler, he managed to surpass Janemba in speed in Return of Cooler. Cooler was capable of catching Goku mid Instant Transmission and they were confirmed to fight in the Instant Transmission realm which transcends time and space.

Now skepticality will exist for this feat, mainly because of them being in this realm. However, Instant Transmission is instantaneous, traveling any distance with no time, that is the point of it and if it isn’t then it’s not Instant Transmission, we even see its instantaneous in the film. Cooler catching Goku in the middle of it means he had to catch Goku in between of him moving a distance in no timeframe which would qualify for Infinite speed. The fact that Goku and Cooler were confirmed to be fighting while traveling in this realm would solidify it.

So Cooler was able to travel at Infinite speeds, this beats out Janemba’s Quadrillions times the speed of light speed scaling by… infinity, what do you know.

So while Janemba is leagues stronger than Cooler, Cooler is leagues faster than Janemba. COOLER takes SPEED!

TECHNIQUES

Next up, who has the better techniques and abilities?

Cooler does have some useful abilities, but most of them are simple variations of a Ki Blast, at most his Supernova is a bit unique but Janemba’s far superior strength would make that a null point.

He does have flight but so does everyone else here so it’s not a really great advantage.

Despite this setback, Meta-Cooler does have some unique abilities that would be useful. Cooler’s Instant Transmission is a great technique to appear wherever he wants and can easily catch Janemba off guard, unlimited stamina, and can scan power levels.

It is clear though that Janemba does blow Cooler out of the water in versatility though. Janemba shares the basic Ki Blasts, flight, and unlimited stamina as long as evil exists, but has way more other abilities. He can seal Cooler, freeze him, transmutate him into himself, use portals to catch him off guard, copy his attack with the Mystic Copy, use the Bunkai Teleport to catch Cooler off guard, and use the Mystic Attack to stretch his arms to incredible lengths. This is way more than Cooler can output and if some of these land, it could spell out his doom.

Overall it’s pretty clear that when it comes to techniques that the two can pull out, it’s clear that Janemba wipes the floor with Cooler here. JANEMBA takes TECHNIQUES!

SKILL

Next up for who’s the better fighter and this should be pretty obvious.

Not to disrespect Janemba, but it’s very clear that Cooler excels Janemba in this category. Janemba is admittedly very creative with his powers and uses the environment very well. He also is great at using his unique powers to catch his enemies off guard.

But Cooler simply is much more mentally prepared than Janemba. Cooler has been training for his entire life and he’s likely over 60 years, this beats out Janemba’s… less than a day of experience. He’s also shown high military knowledge and can adapt to a situation and is more skilled given how Janemba relies on the element of surprise and being stronger while Cooler can fight an opponent of similar power such as Goku in Return of Cooler.

Cooler has also successfully conquered many planets and destroyed them while Janemba’s chaos across the universe was a result of his power and not intelligence. Cooler can even run the Big Gete Star and has the intelligence to create metallic clones of himself.

There’s no doubt that when it comes to every single mental factor, Cooler easily dominates. COOLER takes SKILLS!

SURVIVABILITY

Probably the most important deciding factor of this matchup is who can actually put down the other considering how tough it will be for both.

They both already have a massive hurdle to go through with their stats: Cooler can’t really hurt Janemba at all and Janemba can’t hit Cooler at all, the gaps in strength and speed are too wide. So what ways can they take each other out?

Starting out with Cooler and his Billions of clones will 100% be a problem. Killing a guy who is infinitely faster is already a hassle, but killing Billions of them is even harder. This gets EVEN HARDER when the Big Gete Star can keep producing them. However, this does give Janemba a chance of victory, all he needs to do is destroy the Big Gete Star.

Now Janemba does have the AP and Destructive AOE needed to destroy the Big Gete Star, but doing it with a bunch of Coolers in the way is a hassle, especially if they use Instant Transmission to get it away from Janemba. 

This is where Janemba’s abilities come useful, he could create Mystic Copies of Meta-Coolers to slow down Cooler, freeze the entire area, he also could bypass the Coolers by portaling to the Big Gete Star and blowing it up from inside, use the Rapid Energy Cannons to all instantly blow up everything around him to take down a couple Coolers if they don’t get out of the way in time, seal everything around him in crystals that Pikkon couldn't break meaning the Coolers would be stuck, use his telekinesis to grab the Big Gete Star and chuck at the Coolers or crush it, and use the Bunkai Teleport to travel to the Big Gete Star. As for killing the Coolers, while they do have impressive regeneration, considering the power gap and the regenerations limits, it’s unlikely that the regeneration Cooler has would be enough to tank even a light scratch.

Now Cooler’s speed edge would make this difficult, if Cooler even has one win condition against Janemba then he would be able to pull it off thanks to how much faster he is… sadly he doesn’t have one.

A win condition was sought for, but Cooler lacked a way to put down Janemba. He couldn’t hurt him at all due to the huge stat gap, so sending a Billion Coolers all at once wouldn’t do anything physically, and Janemba’s regeneration would allow him to heal from any form of minor damage Cooler could inflict. Cooler also didn’t have any haxes that could really hurt Janemba, all of his abilities are either analysis, survival related, or just variations of big Ki attacks that could do nothing to Janemba.

Couldn’t Cooler just insult Janemba and take him out that way? Well while it will slow down and weaken Janemba, it would still be ineffective in terms of actually winning. Even when insulted, Pikkon still couldn’t make much of a dent to the crystals and Janemba easily survived attacks from him after being insulted, so Cooler still can’t cause significant damage, especially since his regeneration is still too good for Janemba to keep the damage taken.

Couldn’t Cooler just put Janemba in the Big Gete Star and absorb his energy? This would be a TERRIBLE idea! Not only does this assume Cooler could knock out Janemba which… no, but not only could Janemba causally overload the absorption, but this would mean that Janemba can now just blow up the Big Gete Star and win.

Finally, couldn’t Cooler just outlast Janemba like the others with a huge stat gap? Sadly this wouldn’t happen as Janemba can’t be worn down like that, spirits have the ability to not experience physical fatigue and Janemba is fueled by evil, so Cooler would never be able to tire out Janemba. Also while Cooler is much more skilled than Janemba, it is ultimately irrelevant when he has no way to hurt let alone kill Janemba.

Sadly, Cooler just doesn’t have a realistic way to take out Janemba, but Janemba’s way of beating Cooler is fairly unlikely and could be stopped so it’s a tie right?

Not only does even having the smallest chance of victory still more than 0 chance of victory, but Janemba winning is fairly realistic. Cooler can only play keep away with the Big Gete Star for so long and eventually Janemba will destroy it. Janemba has the range to affect every dimension in the Dragon Ball Universe, enough range that eventually he could destroy everything with the Big Gete Star and all the Coolers. Cooler may have used his speed to avoid death from the other 8, but with Janemba’s range, he can’t really outrun his demise here since he would literally have nowhere to avoid Janemba's effects.

But would Janemba even know he has to do this? Not only would the Coolers coming out of the Big Gete Star be a good sign, but destroying everything around you which is something Janemba would destroy the Big Gete Star eventually regardless of intent. Also given on how many methods Janemba has to get to it, eventually Janemba will destroy the Big Gete Star and the Coolers with it. This is not even mentioning that Janemba’s range could likely kill all the Coolers at once, leaving the Big Gete Star vulnerable and an opportunity for Janemba to destroy it before it can produce another.

No matter which way you slice it, Janemba would eventually be able to get past Coolers survivability while Cooler lacked a way to take down Janemba. JANEMBA takes SURVIVABILITY!

COOLER

• Sealing, Ice Manipulation, Transmutation, and Dimension Sword’s space cutting are all instant wins if landed (which Janemba’s range would ensure)

This was certainly the most chaotic fight seen in this Blog series yet! So many characters with various different abilities, support, and stats, there was a lot to cover! Can’t blame you if you disagree with a placement or two because of how much there is, heck with other conditions or interpretations added, the debate can change very fast. 

However, while Wheelo, Turles, Slug, 13, Broly, Bojack, Hirudegarn, and especially Cooler all had their advantages, it was clear at the end that Janemba would come out on top.

Janemba was easily the strongest, whether you use Toei Anime scaling and have him scale above SSJ3 Goku where the second strongest ultimately fell to him, or use only the movies where Janemba could affect all dimensions in the entire Dragon Ball universe and threatened to destroy it.

Janemba’s reality warping was also very deadly, having multiple ways to take down everyone. Not to mention his insane Regeneration and Immortality ensured that his defeat would likely be impossible here since no one could purify his soul and Garlic Jr. was way too slow and weak to pull off his Regeneration negation.

Overall, it’s clear that Janemba would come out on top while we will Z the rest in hell!

Who Would Win? Janemba!

ALTERNATE SCENARIOS!

Yeah so remember the ruleset given at the start, well considering everyone has a different idea of how to do this, let’s quickly lightning round through other scenarios just to cover all ground…

NO ANIME SCALING!

First up, what would change if the Anime was not a basis for scaling? Janemba would still remain the strongest due to affecting all dimensions, you could argue Broly and Hirudegarn keeping up with Universal Statements, Cooler would actually stand out as stronger since he would upscale his Supernova and without Universal statements he would be stronger than Hirudegarn and match Broly. Wheelo almost blows up the planet where 13 couldn't, meaning 13 would get second last… and Turles gets even more screwed since he hasn’t shown many destructive feats or fast feats that require Anime scaling to be impressive.

Overall, Janemba would still win, Cooler could likely get second more comfortably due to being more comparable to Broly and stronger than Hirudegarn more safely, 13 would get a lot lower, and Turles would be extra screwed.

WHAT IF THE MOVIES COULD SCALE TO EACH OTHER?

Well at this point it would just be whoever has the later movie would win, with the only debate being Hirudegarn vs Janemba which would have the clear outcome of Janemba winning.

Pretty obvious outcome and boring, another reason why it wasn’t used aside from continuity issues.

WHAT IF INFINITE UNIVERSE ENDS WERE 100% BOUGHT?

Yeah Cooler could be mega screwed now since his biggest advantage was how fast he was, being able to overwhelm the others with the army. Since the later Villains would all be Infinite in speed to likely faster, they would sweep through the army. Cooler was carried by his speed since Cooler could then outlast most people here with his endless stamina and his sheer numbers, without it he can't pull that tactic here and would eventually go down.

Now if you buy the Instant Transmission Dimensions statement of transcending time as Immeasurable speeds, then Cooler would remain 2nd as Immeasurable far surpasses Infinite speed.

Either Cooler is mega screwed or nothing would change, you can decide.

WHAT IF THE “CANONICALLY STRONGEST” STATEMENTS WERE BOUGHT?

Alright considering 3 of the villains here have this statement lets go through what would happen if they were true.

Broly: Broly would still lack the speed and stamina to take down Cooler, but he would easily beat Hirudegarn and he could possibly take down Janemba if you believe the power gap to be that wide (whcih there is no evidence for Broly literally one shotting him to the point Janemba couldn't regenerate), although he'd still be vulnerable to hax and Janemba's regeneration would still be tough sicne other souls can come back from... just their soul and depending on your belief on Janemba's ressurection then Broly would might not be able to put him down for good, albiet how long it takes for Janemba to come back from total destruction is unclear.

Janemba: He already is the strongest, so if anything this statement is the most backed up by the movies and is the most legit.

Hirudegarn: Not much would change honestly, he would still lack the speed to put down Cooler (unless you bought Infinite Speed for Broly and no Immeasurable for Cooler) and Janemba’s regeneration, speed, and hax is still too good.

STATS EQUALIZED?

A popular debate for this matchup is if Stats were equalized, so might as well answer it.

The main debate would be Janemba vs Cooler vs Garlic Jr. as all 3 kind of have a rock paper scissors moment going on. Cooler can’t kill Janemba and eventually his clones will be destroyed, Garlic Jr. could BFR Janemba to Dead Zone or put him down with his Regeneration Negation, and Cooler’s clones would overwhelm Garlic Jr. and shove him in the Dead Zone or destroy the Makyo Star. Whoever you think loses first here, the victor of the encounters presented would lose to the other. Given the numbers, it’s possible Cooler could take out Garlic Jr. first or Cooler could realize he’s the key to taking out Janemba and have him do his thing. Very debatable either way.

Also Turles might beat Broly because of his better skill since stats don’t matter here which is REALLY funny!

WHAT IF EVERYONE JUMPED JANEMBA AT ONCE?

This scenario would likely never happen given everyone’s arrogance and bloodlust, but what would happen if everyone instantly realized Janemba was the winner and decided to work together? Could they beat him? Possibly honestly.

Garlic Jr. actually has the hax needed to put down Janemba so if they all work together they might be able to weaken Janemba enough for the regeneration negation to actually be effective or BFR him with the Dead Zone and use their combined power to keep him there.

Once again, this would never happen but it’s put here as a possibility. If you’re wondering, the Battle Royale would resume as normally and Cooler would be the winner this time, neat (he really is a speed merchant).
